I love genealogy research, am delighted to look for old cemeteries and headstones in my area. Have no problem transferring ownership of memorials to descendants who ask. Unless, of course, I am more closely related to them than you.

To request simple edits or links, USE THE EDIT TAB on the memorial you want edited. For transfers, also use the edit tab, tell me how you are related AND INCLUDE YOUR MEMBERSHIP NUMBER.

Mable Long
Mable has only one stone at Fort Logan. She is buried with Robert D Long he is on the front of the stone. Do you still want an other photo take of it?

RE: Photo requesr
Yes I did. My mother is the Secretary/Treasurer of the cemetery so I had full access to the cemetery records. She could be buried there, the space is certainly empty. I posted pictures. Sometime in history family members would have known someone was buried there, but did not put up a headstone. The cemetery Bylaws created in 1965 now require graves to be marked as part of the purchase of the lots. If you send proof that she is buried there, there may be a possibility that her name be added to the records. Of course I have no authority to speak on behalf of the cemetery because I am not a Board member. The address of the Brookline Cemetery Association is PO Box 473, Brookline, MO 65619. It would be wonderful if family members could go together to purchase a headstone to mark this grave. I recommend both Wommack Monument in Springfield, MO and Nixa Monument in in Nixa, MO because I have personally purchased headstones from them. The cemetery has a contract with a lawn mowing service that is bonded and insured should they damage a stone.

RE: Confirm inscription - Fairhaven Memorial Park, Santa Ana
Hi Carole: It is evident from the headstone that the inscription is indeed incorrect. I have sent an edit to the memorial creator to delete the military inscription and replace it with "Mother" as reflected on the stone. I know from experience when you are entering using the spreadsheet that mistakes like this can easily happened. Hopefully, the mistake will be corrected within a few days. Chris

Margaret Nash.
At one time we were able to search the ABC Newspapers in Anoka and not now. I believe that was the source of this entry. So, no further info except what is entered.

Hi,
You entered Jessie & Jennie. and Jennie is in Winnebago Cem. The same headstone pic is on both. Did Kim Nelson change the cemetery after you transferred Jennie to her?

Hi, Carole.

Sorry, I just now saw your comment from Saturday on my profile. Someone I missed the notification.

Anyway, thanks again for the comments. I was just going over that branch of the family, and I see that your step-sister Pat is my 5th-cousin-twice-removed. :-)

Happy Autumn & Thanksgiving,
John
