Caroline Transue #39307548
I have concerns about this data as mother born in 1767 would be age 52 at birth of this Caroline whose birth data must be correct given data is on tombstone. Does mother have tombstone data such as Caroline's? /s/gladys boice

George Washington Myers (b. 1857)
Hi Joan! I was wondering if you could tell me where you got the family details for George Washington Myers (Meyers), b. 1857. I was under the impression that he abandoned his daughter to the Bardines after his first wife died. The current family story is that he died out east so I was hoping to get a citation on the second marriage and long life. Thanks!

Gallaher Photo
There are two James Gallahers in Beaver Valley, One just listed as James (is actually James S) and his wife Ruth. The other one is James W and his wife Rachel. The same photo has been used for both couples. The photos actually go with James W and Rachel as James W is the Civil War vet, James S was not in the Civil War. Would you consider transferring James (#29288753) and Ruth (29288690) to me as they are my Great, great great Grandparents? Thank you.

RE: Campo Santo de San Jose

My apologies for such a long delay in my reply.

"Campo Santo de San Jose" was the name over the entrance.

I'll ask Find-A-Grave to merge the two.

Ethel Anna (Glass) Walter
Dear Joan, While researching a Wm. Glass & Emma Smith Glass (not your relatives) I came across your relatives and Ethel Anna (Glass) Walter. Here is the problem I found. You created memorial#90418176 for her but placed it in Claysburg Union Cemetery. She is not in that cemetery and another memorial for her containing a photo of her gravestone is listed in the correct cemetery: River View Cemetery memorial#160898171
I went looking for her there because that is the cemetery on her death certificate. Find-A-Grave rules are that the first memorial in the correct cemetery is preferred. Here is a solution, ask edit@findagrave to do a merge of the two memorials If you ask, they will probably give the memorial to you. Best Wishes, Lily (researcher on Find-A-Grave)

RE: Merrill Farm Cemetery
I think that's the best place to start. And, as you say, cemeteries can have many different names - or none at all! Often the names we give are for convenience in reporting, and weren't used all that often, if the cemetery is a small family one. Good luck!
