ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

Barbara Lawn
Surname Woosley
I'am looking for the name Albert Woosley, his first wife Honora (or Norrie) Woosley from Omaha, NE. They may be buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Omaha, NE. Albert's mother Julia Josephine (Pollock) Heller is buried there along with her daughter Emma Milbourn (Albert's sister). Albert's b. 11 Apr 1872 - abt. 1948 and Honora's b. 30 Nov 1876 - 23 Mar 1904. I would very much appreciate any info you can provide. I e-mailed the cemetery about a month ago and have not heard from them.

Melissa / Joan Lyman
Hello, I am trying to reach Melissa who was apparently looking for Joan Lyman in Westlawn Cemetery. I am not sure I know who Melissa is, but it was nice to know that someone was looking for my grandmother. I do not know how to contact Melissa and I just happened to see your note on this website. Perhaps you can get this message to her. Joan Lyman was my grandmother and she was cremated when she died and her ashes are currently being kept at home with me and my mother. Her daughter, Patt McCreary (my mother) lives with me now here in Nebraska. My mother and grandmother both share a grave and headstone at Westlawn Cemetery in Omaha although the grave is presently unoccupied. My grandmother (Joan Lyman) passed away in January 2005 (Longmont, CO). If further information is desired, please contact me.

Hi again,
Granny's name was Ellen Dodson Morris Shackelford. She died in Kearney Nb. She was in a T.B. Hospital she spent 4,307 there before she died.
The death certificate West Lawn , Omaha Nb. I do not know who paid for her burial could be she had no stone I don't know.. Her obit spelled her first name Ailene . but death certificate spelled it correct. Her husband the name was spelled Orbry buy it was Aubry and they were divorced.
It took me year to get her death certificate because they could not find it. A lady (Bless her) found it and spent it to me. I sent a copy of her obit and a request and they finally found it.

MILL photos
Hello Melissa! Absolutely, I would love those pictures as well. Are you putting the pictures up on the web, or do you send them to me and I put them up? I'm not sure whether the photos that are uploaded are converted (size wise) to smaller files. I would really appreciate receiving the full-sized files via email, if possible.

Thank you so much!
