Bio Photo Hello,

A colleague (and delightful person) told me about this site and the volunteer work she does photographing graves. Many of my family members have tracked our genealogical roots over the last 200 years and I started at an early age, around 8 or 9 years old. Ancestry has always held a fascination for me.

Since I live within walking distance/view of the back of Mountain View Cemetery and St. Mary's Cemetery in Oakland, California, I thought I would offer my services as a photo-volunteer for people to find their family members. I only visit a few times a year because of time constraints but I'm happy to assist if I can.

Please note: At the request of the office staff at Mountain View Cemetery, they would prefer family members request plot and grave information, rather than non-family members or photo-volunteers.

Thank you so much for your explanation and efforts to find the location of the grave. It is disappointing there is no marker but I am happy to know where she is buried.
Thanks again

I take it there was no marker for Marceline, how did you figure out where she was buried?
Thanks for your help

Thank you for the reply. I am glad he has a nice view. I actually can't remember it too much, cause we were up on the road looking down at the grave. Plus, crying didn't help. But, I do remember the cemetery staff having to be very careful and not drop the casket as it was pretty steep hill down to his resting place. Somebody told me he was being buried next to his mother, but I don't know.

Anyway, I really appreciate you doing this. People like you are so much appreciated and I am so appreciative of you taking the time to do this for me.

God Bless you, and thank you.

Dear Hajah,

Thank you so, so much for taking the photo of the grave marker for Bill. Volunteers like you are so appreciated. We went to Bill's funeral in 2001, but have since moved out of the area, so I really appreciate you taking the time to do this.

Thank you again.

Thank you sincerely for taking the time to locate and photograph Joshua, Elizabeth, daughter, Violet and grandson Wallace D. Harbert. I think Jessie might be the 2nd wife of Wallace. I entered what information I can on findagrave for them. If you would be so kind could you upload them to or to

I will upload a picture of Joshua & Elizabeth Harvey taken just shortly after their marriage in 1873.

Thank you again for you time.
