Think you probably know already but 'your' Wm. Mitchell married Georgina Wright 21st. June, 1884 at 3, Hill Street, Aberdeen (groom's address). One of the witnesses was a George Mitchell.
William Mitchell (22), compositor, bachelor; Georgina Wright (20), linen weaver, spinster. I bought the certificate last Christmas.

Your Wm. Mitchell was also witness at his sister Jane (or Jean) Mitchell's marriage to Anthony Cobban, in 1879.

Interesting stuff. For your information, the original William Mitchell who married Jane Shiers - his first wife was Jessie Simpson. His parents (according to his death certificate) were William Mitchell, farmer, and Margaret Gerrard. He died at 4 Deveron Street, Huntly. Informant of death was 'your' William Mitchell, who at that time lived at 89, Hutcheon Street, Aberdeen.

RE: Julia Ann Vaughn nee Fowler
I'm sorry I don't know anything about the family. Except that Jacob Vaughn was born in Fayette Co., Penn. I was working from a list when I entered the name. You should really talk to Rachel who now maintains the memorial. I have had a Stroke and I don't remember transferring the memorial. But I must have because Rachel now maintains it. (Unless, she is more Computer literate than I and just took it.) That has happened before. Robin Fife

I am not able to run over there but as I enlarged the photo it appears that the word Griffin is in line with Native. I just returned from Ireland. I am satisfied that it says Griffin. If you keep the request up, I will try and fulfill it when the weather becomes cooler, if you so wish.

RE: Nugent-Flynn at St. Mary's
Hi Jill,

You're welcome! There is a ground level footstone with the name 'Flynn' on it on the Flynn side of the monument, but I didn't see any others. The people in the office are very helpful - they should be able to tell you the names of the Nugent and Flynn family members buried in that plot. Good luck in your searches!

Best regards,
