Bettie Gunn
Kay -
I suspect my mother could say whether or not it is indeed Bettie in the photo. Have you posted it or would you like to email me a copy (I will NOT use it other than to show Mom).
Let me know

RE: Reed
Kay -
I asked my mother yesterday about getting into another box of photos - she's excited about the possibility of finding more Reed pix. When I asked about Bettie Gunn, Mom told me she was named for Aunt Bettie - I had no idea. Mom was only 8 when Bettie died so has not much memory of her.

RE: Reed
You got me curious so I went back and looked at a number of Reeds. Seems a poster names Leona Thacker has children and spouses confused. I'll try, over the next few weeks, to straighten this out. John Isabel was older brother to my great-grandfather, Alexander Reed.

I cannot lay hands on it, but I know we have photos. My mother and I have been going through pictures and, when I find one, will post it.

Bruce Weirauch

You had set up a profile for a Libby Jacobson in Greenwood Cemetery in Canton IL and linked her with Benjamin Jacobson in a McDonough County cemetery.
I was adding pictures today and both Libby & Benjamin are on the same headstone in Greenwood. I linked the 2 together, I don't know if he is buried in the other cemetery and they just put him on her head stone or what. Just thought I would drop you a note

Thank you for the links to Henry Hillbrant. Since their markers reflect no link, I don't connect them unless I receive messages such as yours. Thanks again, Gene.

RE: Permelia Acker
Hello Kay,
Yes, no problem on the redo of Permelia Acker's headstone. It was taken in 2007 as the day was closing. I shot about 30 photos during that short time frame, so I did not clean it off before I took it. I have been redoing a number of older photos for this reason and because many other older photos where taken with 35mm film and scanning them really leaves a lot to be desired . With the new digital camera, the photos are much clear and far more enhanced than the 35mm film. I was born, raised and have lived in Livingston County all my life... with the exception of several years in Washington State, job related. My parents live 10 miles as the crow flies from the original settlement by my 5th Great Grandfather, I live about 14 miles from there. My roots here are 224 years deep, with an extensive collateral lineage here as well. I have family members buried in nearly all of the cemeteries in a 6 county area. I may need a week or so, notating that we are suppose to get rain 5 days out of 7, so they say.
The Best to You and Yours, Butterfly~Kisses.
