RE: Bernard Deitermann
Hi Mona,
I don't live close to the area of the cemetery at all and I'm not sure who you could ask to go there. Sometimes I wish I knew someone there also to grab a pic every now and then. I'm not familiar with any Deitermanns. I do have ancestors there but randomly do other families. If I get to the library with an Ancestry source, I'll try and remember to look it up. I've forgotten the name of the site but it archives old newspapers and I've found an abundance of info, especially for Iowa and that area. Hope that helps some :)

Sorry - spaced out while creating a number of memorials. Of course you already have management! (Senior moment!!)

Did you wish to take on management of her memorial?

No angel - there is only the shelter and map case at the cemetery, as shown in the home page. As in the description, the markers have gone thru several styles - I really like seeing the photo of an original view. Those upright stones were later laid flat, before being replaced by the near-anonymous marble plaques. The result is a very open field look, which tends to overgrow the markers.

standard procedure
It has always done this way and it provides a link directly to the memorial and is much easier for those of us who have so many of them to do.
