I hope you have had time to read my e-mail by now - what did you think of it?
I would like to hear your comments before I try to link up my Great Great Grandfather with your Samuel Linnington.
Looking forward to your reply.

Dear Christine. I walked this small cemetery twice. It is lovely and forlorn. So many of the stones are weather damaged, unreadable and propped against others. Some kind souls made ground plaques to preserve the names. If it is any consolation to you Captain Thornes is buried with about a dozen or so Revolutionary soldiers. He had the highest rank. In addition, are several founders of my town, Collingswood as well as schools and streets: Collings, Dill, Zane. The Newton Burial Ground is near Newtown Lake and across from the charming neighborhood of West Collingswood. I've posted a few photographs to give you some sense of the cemetery.

You are quite welcome! It was my first time at this cemetery, very historic and a lovely place. The stones are very old and hard to read, I think I was there at a lucky time with low glancing sunlight. I was happy to find five Vandegrift stones all together. Take care, Bill Fisher

I just added this one to St. Agnes' Cemetery, Chester County, pa. Thought you might be interested. Copy from CCHS. If you want ownership, let me know. I'm not family.
