Hi - Our cemetery has just joined up with FindaGrave and I will work on getting you the photos on your list in the next week or two - still have to learn how to contribute.

You're very welcome!
AlbFirefly created the memorial in 2013, as you mentioned ... they're up to 1.1 MILLION memorials that they've created, with countless errors, duplicates of their own duplicates, incorrect burial locations, etc. They've caused much gnashing of teeth!

Many of the people were removed from the First Presbyterian Church to Wilmington and Brandywine when the cemetery closed. The burials for the First Presbyterian are listed under the name of Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Wilmington. You'll see the name was changed when they merged with the Central Church. I have no further information on the family. The second photo is not mine. The memorial is very difficult to read if I get back there I'll give it another look.

Leonard Vandegrift

I have spent several hours on this one. His wife has a clearly marked grave. He is identified on her grave stone. There is no grave marker here that clearly identified Leonard Vandegrift. There is open space around her grave that suggests others are buried her as the area is otherwise 'full'. There is a stone several feet away that is broken and laying flat in the ground with nothing on it. It could be his and the information is on the down side. However; 50 feet away was the final grave stone with L.V. on the stone and nothing more. Why such a small one when all the rest of the family males have massive ones. Some 3 meters tall and his 12-18 inches. I believe this to be the grave marker of Leonard Vandegrift

John Boyd
Your corrections for John Boyd have been added. Thank you very much. I could not read the grave marker from my photograph.

Vandagrift at St Georges.
I found a dozen. How many do you want? I did not find Leonard (I don't think). But I did find his wife and I found a small stone with only L. V. And nothing more. What would want me to do next?
