I have seen your messages via several sites looking for information about Charles Talton. He married my great-grandmother, Mildred Lloyd, in 1916. He legally adopted her daughter, Clara. Clara is my grandmother. In her later years, she wrote a story about her mother's life, which of course included some stories about Charles. She adored him. Unfortunately, the story is not very long because he was robbed and murdered when she was 10. If you are interested in getting a copy of the story, let me know. Hope you find the answers you are looking for.

Hi Nancy, so good to hear from you. I spent all day Saturday looking for the plantation and cemetery and never found it. I plan to contact Talbot County courthouse to see if I can get better directions. I traveled Taylor Road from one end to the other and never found anything. My ggggrandmother was Lucretia Boynton. Still looking for verification that she was the daughter of Amos and Sara Boynton. She was with them when they came to Georgia (1737-1844)so I feel relatively sure she was a daughter. She married Thomas Hairston in 1807 in Warren County and they lived and died in Jasper County. I have a beautiful picture of their daughter Nancy Jane Hairston Roberts. Looking forward to comparing notes. My work e-mail is email@example.com. Tonie

Nancy, I plan to visit the Boynton family cemetery soon and will try and get photographs. I am related to Moses through my ggggrandmother, Lucretia Boynton Hairston. What is your connection? Tonie

Cemetery photos added. Be delighted to transfer to you since you are related. I am a volunteer--and have way too many!. Just use the edit key on each one you would like ( top right of memorial page...) then under suggestions say transfer and give me your contributor number. Thanks for leaving the note and flowers.
Nancy, you are very welcome. This is one of those rare rewarding results of being a contributor for Find A Grave.

On the cemetery page you will see old, old markers. All legible grave markers have been photographed. The others are worn and cannot be identified.

I do many of these per day. I do not remember
how the name Dobbs came up but I spent a lot of time checking different web sites & from the info I got I was not convinced Newsom was her maiden name. Some sites listed she married a Newsom first then Farr. You might check Ancestry.com & Rootsweb & Familysearch.org. You should find the same info I found. If you want me to transfer her to you let me know with her #
& your member # in the same email.
