When I was in a cemetery one day where I found several requests, I happened to look up and see a cloud that looked (to me) like a heart with a rainbow beside it. It was like a sign that not only do those who request the photos appreciate it, so do the people who we find on our FAG lists. I keep it as my profile pic as a reminder of those days when it's mostly frustration and little accomplishments.

2022 Update:
Apparently, no activity is good activity to FAG.

I found a duplicate to one of my family members I added years ago and notified FAG. That one didn't have a whole lot of information either. It was added after mine had been added. FAG said they were keeping that one and deleting mine instead because there had been a lot of activity on the one I said to keep (mine). I actually said to keep it not only because of mine but it had more information, including pictures, and was the first added to FAG. Really? What idiots would rather not have complete dates, connections to other family members, photos, etc. for just a grave markers incomplete information? FAG I guess.

Since FAG prefers a person who doesn't work on memorials and make updates, guess I will go back to just shaking my head when I see major errors & missing information among duplicates or those that should be attached together. There are so many needed corrections (someone even has a person listed as wife not daughter -yes she was younger) I could make. Lots of incomplete family members that need to be connected to others in different cemeteries, and info like birth/death dates/places too need added. But I'm not giving up memorials just because I work on them. It takes a lot of time ensuring accuracy to waste it on FAG who prefers a memorial with basically no information and not one tended by someone who cares enough to work on it for those in search of info.
So, if anyone wants information or pictures on the names, I have listed and manage (and many others related owned by others) email me here or find me on ancestry.com.

Every time I pass a cemetery, I want to bring up FAG and check for requests. I take FAG everywhere I go or try to. I have found markers near my home and hundreds of miles away. I try my best to find as many as I can wherever I am. It's not always easy to accomplish.

FAG has come a long way over the years since I began. I remember there were only a few cemeteries in the area I lived listed, and most had no more than just a name or a few photos. Back then I tried to take a photo of every marker in the cemetery where my families were. After a recent trip to some of those same cemeteries, it's sad how much many of the markers have deteriorated over these 14 years.

I tried to acknowledge messages, some went through, and some didn't. You're most welcome! While we don't look for or expect "thank you's", your kind comments and thank you's do mean a lot and are appreciated. Sometimes on a really hot day, when you haven't found a single marker on a long list, it's the motivation to keep searching.
I normally do not alter photographs, except for cropping if necessary. I often take multiple pictures to choose the best (I've even gone back at different times of day and weather trying to get a clear shot on a few of them). Once altered it's hard to make any further adjustments. This way you can download to alter & get the best picture for your system. You are welcome to download any "Sweet Grass" photo and use it however you desire. It's not a picture of a UFO so it's not something to squabble over.

I have just moved back to a place that seems to have a lot of requests - over 3,000 within 25 miles I think it is. One cemetery has nearly 40,000 graves & abt 125 requests, so I'm guessing it will take some time to clean up those lists (and it is, can't find even the newer markers so far). I'm also finding after we've found, taken pictures, uploaded, & cropped someone has already posted marker pictures but did not remove names from the list of requests. Wastes a lot of our limited time. We often see a cemetery and stop - so there isn't much time to verify the accuracy of a request.

My family lines include: Marchand, Moran, Clark, Dougal/Dougall, Beier, Beyer, Byer, Bier (all different lines), Hansen, Mickelson, Heinrich/Henry, Featherstone, Treblecock, Schack, Sorensen, and many more. Many variations to spelling as well.
