Please note His middle name is McKinney not McKinley. His mother, Elizabeth Ardella "Betsy" McKinney who was the daughter of William McKinney who married Elizabeth Hampton.

My maternal grandmother's maiden name was Wilkins. She is descended from a man named John Wilkins who came to Stokes County, NC from Northumberland County, VA before the Revolutionary War. Do you go back to this same family?
