I am a professional storyteller, writer and artist. I collect and tell stories about my family - Francis, Streets, Garlands, Stanleys of Mitchell Co., NC. (Buladean) and also from my other side of the family in Sullivan Co. Decks, Milhorns, Barnes, Cunninghams, Holstons, Adams, Gammmons, Geislers, and Shipleys.
I am a decendant of Stephen Holston that much of East Tennessee is named after as he was the first white man to map out this area and settle here - Holston River, Mountain, Dam, chruches, streets and business (all carry his name). My people also were involved in founding and building the 1st Methodist Chruch in East Tn., Acuff Chapel and the log structure stands to this day.
