RE: Alice Renfro Osborne
I am related through William Lindsey/Emma Belle Nannie (Nancy Cornelia Graves Housmon). Nannie was my grandmother and Emma Belle my great grandmother. I have always liked that picture of Alice. It reminds me of myself as a young child. I had always thought there was more of my father's side in my appearance but am pleased that some Renfro showed through. Love to a new "cuz". Nancy

Todd the photo on Elizabeth Renfro Moneymaker's page is that of her husband (on the left) and her brother Calvin Luther Renfro (on the right). I do have a photo of her as an older woman but will have to find it. Nancy

Todd:

I noticed you have Renfros in your ancestry. I wanted to check and see where we connected. My great great grandfather was William Lindsay Renfro.

I N Alford and Samantha Ott
Thanks for the reply to my posting of the Alford page. They were my great grandparents. Is there someway that the information can be consolidated with the page you have started? I am new to Find-a-Grave and did not intend to break protocol in posting. Also, I have information for his wife, Samantha Ott Alford. Can these two sites be connected? Thank you for your time and efforts spent in photographing these tombstones.
Fran

Is this a picture of Anne Hall Simmons? Do you know the names of the children in the picture with her?

Thanks,
Fran

I saw your request for her grave marker and called a friend who is caretaker for Wilson Chapel.
So this is the story....When she died, there was not enough room made for another plot between her husband, Montrey, and their son. The only thing they could do was bury her at the foot of her husband's grave. If you go to FindAGrave you will find her listed under her husband's name Montrey Davidson.
My friend also was telling me that Montrey earned a living moving houses back in the late 40's. He would cut down trees, trim them, and bore holes to attach axles. He then would have any where from 15-20 horses putting these houses. They lived near my friend.

Hope this helps you.
