Thank you for the information about Mrs. McElree! I have updated her memorial. I really appreciate it. :)
|P Jones||Mary Benefiel|
I looked back at my notes from the Library version of Ancestry. I had written next to Mary's name "also wife of Isaiah Stewart?" Your Mary was never Isaiah's wife, but his wife was named Mary with the maiden name Benefiel who died in 1881. That's where I got the date, but don't know why I didn't delete it once I knew it couldn't be her. I will remove the 1881 and put unknown. Thank you for contacting me.
I am not related, but enjoy documenting cemeteries. I wondered why Sabra and John Davis ended up in Dade County, MO when researching them.

I researched this burial and the dates are taken from the actual Knoxville death registery and the records from Old Gray Cemetery as there are no dates on the stone itself. I remember doing this at the Library downtown.

It's not really her bio, if you read the picture, her stone actually says "Granddaughter of Judge Scott"..it's on the transcription of her stone itself.

Well, Charles, I solved it...or rather, modern science has solved it. After 202 years, Francis Smith is no longer a "mystery man'. I would love to have shared this information with you in person, but I'm sure by now, Frank has introduced himself....
You left this on Charles Hamms memorial. I My ggggg-grandfather. I hit a dead end on him. The old papers listed Cruickshank as the name before Smith. I couldnt take it back past Francis. I would love to know what you found. Please email me email@example.com

Transferred to your care sir.

Hello, you sent me an message concerning the name of Walter B Lentz... the following is the message I received
Census information and other Alabama records indicate his name was Walton Baldridge Lentz, son of James B. Lentz and Martha W. Smith. Martha's grandfather was David Walton, so this person was likely named for him.
I wanted you to know that I didn't make any changes but did however open the bio and attach your message to me... the reason for this was because when I went to his memorial 30724283 to make the change there had been added a picture of his headstone and it said Walter and not Walton as you suggested.
I am not related and just entered his memorial along with others I was submitting from my book so if you are related and would like for me to transfer this memorial or any others please let me know...my ID# is 46807288
