|Ruth Smith||Eisleben Lutheran memorial Cemetery|
Hello: I ran across this cemetery which you put on the findagrave website and am interesting in it because it seems like one I would like to photograph. I have been volunteering and taking photos here in Cape Girardeau for a few years and love going to small, kind of forgotten cemeteries. Is this in Scott City? And can you give us directions how to get there? Is it easy to get to? My husband goes with me and we would wait for a cool day or maybe this FAll so there is no hurry on your reply. Are there other stones that could be photographed or are the ones with pictures the only graves that are still there? Thanks for your help. Ruth Smith

|Tom Burns||Michael's Kearney|
Some reason Michael's picture and the picture of Michael's grave is missing. The picture I posted was given to me from the late Bill Hall who did family history on the Kearney's back to the 1600's

Michael Kearney's parents are Thomas Kearney 122558895 and his mother is Elizabeth Bussing Kearney 122331450. Michael Kearney's sister is Elizabeth Kearney Burns. She would be my great grandmother on my dads side.

Hi cjhunter -
Thanks for your kind note. I have a couple thoughts about the location of Charles - The property in Merairie Cemetery where Mae Beven is buried was titled in February 1920 (shortly after William's death) and the owner is listed as Charles Beven. However, neither William nor Charles is listed on the burial record (which is not terribly uncommon), but it does give more weight to the idea that Charles might actually be buried in Mississippi. I did a quick search for an individual burial record of either William or Charles and could find neither. So, if I were a betting man, I'd wager that both Charles and William are buried elsewhere and their names on the stone are in memorial only (although the timing of the purchase and the owner's name sure wants to indicate otherwise!)
I'll email to you a copy of the owner record.

Do you know of any other relatives who might have been buried in the same location? Most properties in Metairie Cemetery can accommodate several generations of family members, so this might be a way to cross-reference the property.

Hi Ms. Carole -
I'm sorry I'm not having any luck locating, Floy, Mary or Allyn. I've checked, re-checked and cross-reference in all the ways I could, but I just couldn't locate any of those folks.
Perhaps if you might know of any other relatives who might have been buried in the same location, I'd be glad to look.
