Bio Photo If I have posted a close relative of yours let me know and I will transfer. Please use the edit option on the memorial for updates, corrections and questions, my response will be much faster, I don't have to look up the memorial by name that way....................... Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free!
I follow the plan God laid for me.
I saw His face, I heard His call,
I took His hand and left it all...
I could not stay another day,
To love, to laugh, to work or play;
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
And if my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss...
Ah yes, these things I, too, shall miss.
My life's been full, I've savoured much:
Good times, good friends, a loved-one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief—
Don't shorten yours with undue grief.
Be not burdened with tears of sorrow,
Enjoy the sunshine of the morrow.

Thank you for honoring Alan Turing this week. He doesn't get very many flowers.

RE: James Craven
I did not know Lillie, but I got to know Aunt Kathrine. I descend through Katherine's sister, Mary. Mary passed away in the mid 80's before I became interested in working on genealogy. Aunt Katherine was a wonderful resource regarding my Dad's father's side of the family and I found her and Uncle Bob very personable.

I live in West Virginia, but at the time I still had a number of older living relatives living in the California, PA area which is just down the hill from where Katherine's father, Robert, is buried. In fact, when I started doing research I had been told he was buried at Howe, but could not find an exact spot as it had been unmarked. She had traveled in to place the marker and my husband pitched in with the digging, carrying the marker from the trunk, and placing it neatly, etc. Unfortunately, our family in that area has all passed on and I only make it back about twice a year to decorate graves.

I remember we ate at a little restaurant in California afterwards and I really enjoyed just listening and writing notes about Robert, her dad. He must have been one special fellow and she loved him dearly.

We traveled to Illinois to visit my husband's sister in Illinois one summer as well and they were so gracious about letting us drop in and I made some transcriptions and notes of some obituaries and so forth.

It's such a shame that she is gone. I had stumbled onto something that got me to thinking that James was a Civil War veteran and she told me some things that confirmed that. Unfortunately, the connection was poor and they were doing some noisy work in the back ground at the home where she was at the time, so we did not chat long. Unfortunately, she passed on very soon after our conversation and I never did get the opportunity to try to call back. My, the things I'd love to ask her if I had the chance.

RE: James Craven
Thanks so much for getting in touch. I did suspicion this was the same, though I find two memorials that seem to be for him, one in Monongahela and another nearby in the area of Eighty-four. His Civil War pension file was enormous and I am still trying to track down three of the children, Zella, Mary Catherine, and Martha. Do you happen to descend from either of those three? I descend from Lillie. Thanks again .

This is a little posted 2 photos for the Memory Garden but it doesn't say who created the page for it...I wanted to clear up a couple things...the columbarium (for storing ashes) that was dedicated in 1980 with a capacity of 80, is located in the All Saints Memorial Garden at Saint Bartholomew Episcopal Church, 3747 34th St. S., Saint Petersburg, Fla...the church also has a regular cemetery located about a mile from the church at the corner of 22nd Ave. S. and 19th St. S. in Saint Petersburg, Fla...

Please take a look and see if your SAC request is the way you would like it to read and if there is anything else, please do not hesitate to let me know. It's never a bother or I would not be creating the memorials in the first place.

Happy Autumn,
