Lt. Robert Jones
I pulled his parents names from his obituary (I have a copy) - an initial search didn't pull them up, but will look again to see if I can locate them. They may not be in find a grave yet.

RE: Elmer Werner/Royal Palm Cem. South
You are very welcome. We were able to easily locate the graves of Elmer and his wife, Alma.
They are resting in the Veteran's Circle, which is just east of the entrance at Royal Palm.
Glad to have been able to help you out again.

No problem. We LOVE doing this. I called Sharon at the office for the location of Elmer's wife. I'll check on Monday. I feel certain we can find her - and Elmer for you. I'm going to go ahead and claim your photo request....we're excited to help you out once again.

Elmer Werner/Royal Palm Cem. South
Hello once again. Doug and I were at Royal Palm this morning trying to locate Elmer Werner. The office does not have a burial card on him - but he is there. (We cross-referenced his name on the Pinellas County Cemetery Index which is based on the findings of the genealogical society that canvased the cemetery in the early 2000's. His name is there.) I checked on Ancestry and found that he has a flat bronze military marker, and that his wife, Alma Evelyn, is also buried there. In the past, we have also been told that some person did not have a burial marker, and we did find one.
So, don't give up hope. We will continue searching and have ideas on where to look at the cemetery. We are also going to see if the office has a burial card on his wife - that may steer us in the right direction.
Happy to help you out once again.

This is my uncle and you have a wealth of information on him. My father (deceased) only told me his brother died at the end of the war in the Pacific. Do you have personal knowledge of my uncle Joe? Any further information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Robert Witkowski

That is great! Thank you for responding. I found a beautiful photo taken of him when he graduated from Westpoint in 1910 in an antique store in Austin, Texas. He is sitting in a studio setting in his cadet uniform. I have framed it and hung it on my wall. He had an impressive career in the military! Let me know if you would like to see the photo. I have found that somewhere out there in Florida, there are 2 grand daughters. His daughter died in a car wreck in 1958. I would love to find his grand daughters to share this beautiful photo.
