|Hello! We are the Cemetery "Hoppers" Committee for the White River Valley Historical Society (WRVHS), which is located in Forsyth, MO and has been in existence for nearly 50 years. There are over 170 known cemeteries in Taney County, and we have transcribed nearly all of them, including the largest ones! We go on cemetery "hops" at least once a month, and would love to have you join us sometime! |
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION GUIDELINES: We will be pleased to add your additional information; however, as a historical society, we must provide the source for our information (if not found on the tombstone). If a specific source is not listed (ie. obituary newspaper name/date or death cert state/#), we will list your first name and FAG #, or email address if not logged in. By doing this, other researchers will be able to reference the specific source, or contact you directly, if they have questions.
TRANSFER GUIDELINES: We are happy to transfer if you are a direct relative and can identify to us how you are related. The exception to this is if one of our committee members is also a direct relative - in that case, it will remain in the care of the entire committee. (Several of our members have requested that their direct ancestors be maintained by WRVHS, in order to assure that more than one person is available to care for the memorial.)
HOW TO REQUEST A TRANSFER OR CORRECTION/ADDITION TO EXISTING MEMORIAL: Please click on the "edit" tab of the record you are requesting, and then the "correction" link. In the text box, let us know what your relationship is, and also provide us with your Find A Grave number (found on your bio page next to your name). PLEASE ALLOW SEVERAL WEEKS, as only a couple of members handle these, and have full work schedules; consequently, the requests are only checked once or twice a month.
Thank you! - Leslie Wyman and Jeff Michel, WRVHS Cemetery Co-Chairs

can you provide me with any info that you might have one Charles Hervert Egner? he was my 2nd Great Gradfather.
|Richard McLean||Genny Endres|
You are correct the birth year is 1930. The memorial has been updated.
Thank you for the correction.
|Karen Winters||Helen Bowman|
Per your request, I changed her last name.
|Linda Hughes||#53026369 Safrona Haskins|
The spelling of her mothers name is incorrect. I believe in the bio it is spelled Tourney or similar but it should read Tomme. Her mother was Martha Jane Tomme (Tommie), daughter of James B. Tomme and Eliza Avera/Avery.
On the Inventory of the Estate of James B Tomme there are charges listed for the care and boarding of the following : Elizabeth, Robert, Richard, Jane, William & Mary..Jane being Martha Jane. Elizabeth is Eliza Avera/Avery Tomme
Linda TOMMIE Davis-Hughes
|Linda Reynolds||Oletta Barker - Taney County, Missouri|
Jim and Oletta had two children - Charles Larry Oct 27, 1946-May 27,1985 in Springfield Memorial Cemetery and Francis Elaine Aug 30, 1949 still living.
|Sandra Patton||Two different cemeteries|
Cleo Terry Memorial#34639053 is in a different cemetery than her husband, Ernest Milton Terry Memorial#96735581. Names are on same headstone. Thank you.
|Jo||RE: Margaret May family|
I appreciate this- my father, Gale, is 30 years my mother's senior, so majority of my Favre ancestry has passed away before l was able to research. Its a long explanation on how the family members lost track of each other, but l am slowly piecing the family back together.
I also appreciate your advice on how to post, the site is a little confusing at first, but l'm getting the hang of it. Thank you for photographing and posting my aunt and her husband- we weren't sure if she was in with my grandparents, or in Houston.

|Jo||Margaret May family|
My name is Jo, and Margaret May is my aunt (in the Ozark Memorial Parks Garden). I am trying to tie the family together on Find A Grave, and I'm new to how to link, so I'm not sure how to without requesting from you. Margaret's father's name is Theodore Arnold Favre, buried in the same cemetery, with her mother Rose Belle, and I was wondering if you could link these two to her, please?
I would really appreciate it, and thank you so much for going the extra mile in the cemetery project to connect ancestry!

|Lily Virdell||Paul & Maxine Neal|
Dear WRVHS, I just sent edits for Paul & Maxine Neal in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery. I am doing genealogical research for one of their sons. I always use sources for my edits, in this case the 1930 census Miller township, Scotland Co., Mo. for his parents and the 1940 Downing, Schuyler Co., Mo. for her parents, and more. Thanks for all the work you do. Lily Virdell
