I am a family historian and lover of cemeteries. I have transcribed many cemeteries and taken many photos of headstones over the past several years. I've finally decided to join the FindAGrave community to contribute and share what I have.
I maintain a Southern Graves website and keep a Southern Graves blog.
I just started a new blog! It's about the inhabitants of Rose Hill Cemetery in Macon, Georgia.

I tried to send this message from the grave- doing a Talbot Co Search of Jacquiline (Pace) Ratcliff -and it would not let me send- unknown error.
You have him linked to Jacquline Pace Radcliff as Mother. She married John W (Not Richard) 13 Apr 1835 Warren Co NC. You will find this with a google on here-as I did.
I think you will find he is a son of Richard- and Elizabeth Black. This informaton also on here-census wise etc. Richard and a son Richard were both in the Civil War... and he died 1862. Va.
I would like to pick up your photo request but Sparkman Hillcrest (SH) does not like to provide burial locations to volunteers, citing privacy issues. Your cooperation is needed in order for requests to be filled. The volunteers will need you to call SH and request the location. Their phone number is 214-363-5401. Once you have the location, please add it to your request. Thanks.
|Melika Huntley||Webb family info|
Hi Stephanie... I am the daughter of Sheila Webb and I believe that Charlie M Webb is Sheila's grandfather. And father of John Marshall Webb. We really would like to speak with you to verify as we are putting together a family album for a reunion at the end of May 2016. Wwe may just be related... Looking forward to hearing from you😀
|Bud Stephens||Grave of Relative|
Stephanie, my name is Bud Stephens. I see that you have visited many Cemeteries in Irwin County Ga. I grew up in Ocilla and surrounding area and had a lot of relatives there.
my mothers Half brother's Mother passed away in Irwinville Ga. around 1880. Her name is Nancy Jane Bussell Railey. If you are ever in Irwinville again, would you please check around see if there is anyone buried with that name?
We have no idea what cemetery she might be buried in and all my searches have netted zero.
Thank you for all the great work you do.
Thanks so much for Dr. Vinson's transfer. Bless you.

Dear Stephanie, THANK YOU so much for transferring William Allis Hopson's Find A Grave memorial. It means a lot to me! Many thanks, Charlet Emery Roskovics
|Charlet Roskovics||William Hopson|
Dear Stephanie, Just today I found the memorial you made for William Hopson and thank you very much for the transfer! He was the son of Oliver and Caroline (Allis) Hopson and he fought as a Confederate soldier in the Civil War whereas his brother, Edward Hopson fought with the Union soldiers. What a lot of history here! Thank you so much for the transfer!

|Jim L Wilson||A E Willaford|
A E Willaford, memorial #49075716 is Amanda E Springer, daughter of John "Jack" Springer and Mariah Harris. She married John David Willaford, July 12, 1866 in Bibb County, GA. They had three children, James, Amelia, and William Edgar. This last one could be the W E Willaford in this same cemetery, although I think he was in the 1910 census (will double check). Amanda's death record is in Georgia Deaths Index showing 19 April 1919 as the date of death, her birth in Bibb County and death in Pitts, Wilcox County. I believe she was living with another son, James Willaford. at the time of her death.

I have never heard of these groups, but will see what I can find! I am on the Facebook page that started out just findagrave-ers, and now helps with other problems. I enjoy a lot of it.
I saw your bio on Ransom Taylor Avant (Avent-Aven)
and wanted to tell you he had 9 children instead of the number he gave. David Alonzo Avant was a friend of mine, and the author of the best book I have ever seen on a family name. (He got professionals to dig up the facts for him, and included all of the proof)
He came from Ransom Taylor's 1st born David Freeman.
My Aven's did not go the same route as his-but both wound up in Ga. If you would like a list of the 9, including twins, I will be glad to share.

Thank you for the transfer!
