RE: Wrong info Murphy
Hi Melinda- Looks good but now Elizabeth Murphy Davidson has disappeared as sibling to Rachel and Clement. I read on Facebook that some are having issues with Find A Grave today so may just be a glich. I can't find the original message I sent you with Find A Grave number for her. It too has disappeared.

Thanks- Kim

Vand
Hi Melinda,

I found my family memorials on the Centre County Memorial Park pages and noticed a typo in the heading of my father's page. His first name is listed as "Vladimer." The correct spelling is "Vladimir Vand" #124676517.

I can confirm that the adjacent grave, E. Molly Vand #124676595, is that of his wife and my mother.

Also, another adjacent grave, Jindriska Vandova #124676649, is that of my paternal grandmother. She was Czech. The "ova" suffix designates a married woman in the Czech language and tradition.

I'll compile a biography of my father and send it to you. He was a Professor of Crystallography at Penn State's Physics and Mineral Sciences Departments and one of the founding researchers of the Materials Research Laboratory. He was highly regarded around the world.

Thank you for all you do.

RE: Bodles
Hi Melinda,
I descend from Naomi's brother Richard. Richard married Eve Larimer. Their daughter Eliza Ellen is my grandmother's mother.
I recently added a new tree to Ancestry.com. It is title "Richard Gunsalus." I spent the better part of a year researching the descendants of Richard and his wife Sarah Westbrook.
Please take a look when you get a chance. I did a lot of work on the Bodle line but I am sure I missed a bunch.
Regards,
Wayne

RE: Bodles
Hi Melinda-

Sorry I didn't respond sooner.

Yes, Jerome Bodle's Mother was Naomi "Oma" Gunsallus.
Naomi was daughter of John Wesley Gunsalus, my third great grandfather.

Regards,
Cousin Wayne

Lizzie Lucas
I have a photo of her, assuming it to be at a funeral of Sara Elizabeth Bland Watson in 1907. Sarah was the wife of Charles Haynes Watson, of Snow Shoe, Pennsylvania. Does any of this ring a bell? She is identified on the rear of the photo only as Lizzie Lucas. I am descended from Watsons and also have collateral Watson relatives. Charles Haynes Watson is also in the photo. If you have any Watson information, I would be interested in exchanging information with you. VR, Linda

Do you know who she is? She is pictured in a photo of the Bland and Watson family in Snow Shoe, PA, circa 1907.

Sarah Jane Shawley
There are actually more than one Sarah Jane Shawley's in my tree. The most prominent, Sarah Jane Shawley Barlet, is my Great Grand Aunt. She is the sister of my Great Grandfather, Miller Shawley. Sarah Jane Shawley Walker is my 1st Cousin, 4x removed. Her Father was William Shawley 1806-1859, who was my 3rd Great Grand Uncle. William was one of the brothers of My 3rd Great Grandfather, David Shawley.

There are actually other Sarah Jane's as well but those two are the most prominent.

Lydia Rupert
Hi,
I see you posted the memorial for Lydia Rupert 28753488 in Blanchard Cem.Do you know anything about her?

I was going through a bunch of newspaper articles I copied in 2003 at the Ross Library and find a marriage notation for Miss Lydia Linn who married Mr. Levi Rupert on Oct. 28, 1869. I wanted to attach a maiden name to your memorial but the dates are iffy (married at age 11?). I found 1870 census for Levi and Lydia that says bd of 1848-1849, 1880 census for Levi D. and Lydia and it says she was born in 1850, 1900 says Oct. 1853 and 1910 says 1854 all of which would make more sense than 1858. What do you think? Is this Lydia Linn and should be add the maiden name?

I am still trying to figure out if she is related to my Linns who were from Beech Creek.

Thanks!

Thanks for creating his memorial. I'd been looking for him and when I found your memorial, I wrote a bio for him which resulted in his receiving "Famous" status (which is why it is now managed by Findagrave, if you were wondering). I'm PSU '78 so I'm always looking for "State's Greats" as "Town and Gown" calls them.

Wow
I just love making connections to relatives I didn't know I had! There is a Joseph Elmer and Joseph Miles Fetzer in my tree. As a family, we were close to Uncle Joe (Elmer) in Florida. I have several photos. He was my often spoke of Grandma's brother. Do you have your tree posted anywhere? Mine is private on Ancestry, but will give you access if you like. Where are you from? Lori.
