Bio

I've been interested in genealogy since I was a kid & wrote my 1st family history paper about my maternal grandmother's family, the Gallaher's, from Tully, Donegal, Ireland, when I was 8 y.o., to earn a Girl Scout badge. I enjoy researching my tree on Ancestry.com, as well as going "Grave Hopping" photographing gravestones).
I enjoy writing poetry in my spare time & won 1st Place in the 2008 Cecil Co. Tourism Poetry Contest for my poem "Autumn's Bliss", also published in Cecil Soil Magazine in 2009. I'm a member of the Historical Society of Cecil County and spearheaded the team that built the "Cecil's Field of Dreams" historical baseball exhibit in 2009 at the society. I helped lead the team that created two historical calendars, in 2011 and 2012, of the town of Elk Mills, as church fundraisers for Baldwin United Methodist Church in Elk Mills, MD. I enjoy camping, reading, gardening,Chesapeake Bay, Baltimore Ravens, & anything to do w/ Cecil County history & Maryland history!
