Bio and Links
Bio Photo I originally joined findagrave.com in 2002 while researching family on ancestry.com. What a great data pool of info! Since my involvement, I have sadly discovered so many family cemeteries and smaller public cemeteries have been plowed under, paved over or just sadly neglected. Many of our war heroes have no respectable resting place, much less a marker. Many loved ones, many children, have no one left to care for their graves. Please ask your local groups, scouts, churches, civic, etc. to "adopt" a cemetery and take care of it. Monument dealers will work with you on simple markers for these graves. This is our history. This is our heritage. The Veteran Affairs Office will provide free markers for any Revolutionary War, Civil War, Spanish War, War of 1812 and any war on foreign shores. Thank you in advance for you consideration in these matters... and God Bless America!

I'm new to Find A Grave, loving it. Started my research back in late 90's but took a long lifecation. Kids! Would like to either have some graves transferred or update them. I'm in Clark County, Indiana and noticed you have Eastern Cem. And Mt. Lebanon to name a couple that have my family in them. Hoping you can assist me Gail.

Thank you, Terry

RE: Kropp
Thank you. Although you don't really have to. I'm just excited I finally found them. Was looking everywhere else, but where they were laid to rest.

I really appreciate the transfers. I will update both and add as I find new information to them.
Unless you really want to, you do not have to go and get better pictures. I wouldn't ask that of anyone. I am grateful that you found the the headstones. Sad that it was turned over and hidden. Weather and vandals can do some damage.

RE: Manaugh Cemetery
Sorry for the late reply. I didn't realize I had messages here. This is what I know.
Manaugh Cemetery
According to the Owen Township Trustee in July 1997, this cemetery is located on the Richey Farm on Fulton Rd, off Orchard Rd. It is on top of Ohio River Hill. This would put it on private property at 303 Fulton Rd, Charlestown, IN 47111.

RE: Looney
I became interested in the Looney Cemetery and my nephew cleaned it up, cut trees, etc and then I went to photograph all the stones. He mowed it all last year and a Looney relative & I paid him to mow it, but we have not been out but once this year and the funding of the maintenance is all on me right now. Also, he has a full time job so he tries to get out there when he can. The cemetery really looked nice last year and we put up a cemetery sign to mark the cemetery.
Jonathan David Looney (1796-1857) is shown to be my GGFather of wife of 4th cousin per Ancestry.com. I stray far out on the limbs with my research.
It was very interesting to see that 3 of Peter Looney's wives are buried there all in a row too.

RE: Emmanuel Cemetery
Sorry Gail. I am missing something. Are you referring to the two pictures that I added to Find A Grave for Ernest Lee Kahl (11/29/1894-2/15/1919)?? If those are the ones that you are referring to, those open properly when I access them. Thanks!
