I started researching my ancestors in 1999 and have loved it since then. I love to share genealogical information, so if you find that we have common ancestors, feel free to contact me for additional information, including many high resolution images and many Utah death certificates. I also have a lot of the genealogical information online at fausettfamily.com/genealogy (Check out the photo gallery as well!)|
I am also working on submitting entries from the Roosevelt and Bluebell, Utah cemeteries. Many of these people are not my ancestors, but I have access to the cemetery listings. If one of these people are an ancestor of you, please let me know. I would be more than happy to transfer ownership to you. Most of these entries I have found at the Utah Burial Database found at http://history.utah.gov/burials/execute/searchburials.
Also, if any of my entries have incorrect information, please let me know. (I would prefer some type of documentation supporting the correct information.)

I wonder if you can help me. The grave marker reads date of birth Jul 5, 1826 death 10 Jan 1921. I have this death date but am unsure where I got it. I have been on my files since 1980 and some facts I have a quite old. However his memorial reads dob 5 Jul 1835 dod 12 Jan 1922 . I tried going to census and he was 20 on the 1860 census and 43 on the 1880 census.
How do you go about reconciling this to ONE date. I can use the dod on death cert and memorial but that makes his marker wrong. As far as date of birth what would you do? If he was 20 on 1860 census that would be 1840. I am trying so very hard to have my family files on Ancestry as nearly right as possible but what a problem. Do you mind letting me know which YOU think I should use?
Thank you so very much for any help.

Her headstone shows her name as Lydia Wells not Lydia Knight Wells. Her name in Pioneers & Prominent Men of Utah is shown as Lydia Wells. You need to remove Knight from her name. She did have a daughter Lydia Knight Mecham.

On grave of John Cornelius Laughter, Buck Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (Chesnee,SC), the grave stone lists his date of birth as Mar 24, 1873 and his date of death as Oct 27, 1937. I realize stones can be incorrect, but wanted to allow you to look at the stone on the memorial.

You may want to check his date of birth - certainly he was born before his children.
I have that he was born in Provo, UT on 11 Nov. 1859 and married Ester ZABRISKIE 6 Nov 1884 in Manti. Sanpete, UT.
