|Mimosa||StephensFamily Yalobusha County|
My wife is a descendant of James Wesley Stephens and Jerusha Elizabeth French who are buried in Oak Hill, Water Valley.
I'm looking for more information on the Stephens of Yalobusha County. If you have any information, I'd love to hear about it.

I must tell you about the legacy display I just saw in Tallahassee... Am I correct in my guess, that you are related to Mary Helen's niece, last name Cole? I grew up with John T. -- studied piano w/ same teacher. Mary Helen and John T were as close as any of our family friends in Jackson.
I heard of John's situation a few months before he died; I spoke to Mary Helen at that time, and also after John T. died.
Later, I told her of the WWII Institute at Florida State; she was not inclined [at that time] to address any plans for her treasures after her life was ended.
I don't recall how I connected with the niece -- it may have been through Mary Helen's obituary. I also don't recall any info from me to her about this. So, when I walked into a WWII exhibit today, and saw the items from "Thomas Foster Jenkins" w/ some info about his death and family, I was overwhelmed. I'd love to connect with you. email@example.com
I noticed your last name is Stephens and you have contacts in Yalobusha County.
My wife's maiden name is Stephens and she is branch off the John Stephens of Yalobusha County and James W. Stephens. James W. is buried in Oak Hill, Water Valley, along with his wife, Jerusha Elizabeth French Stephens. My wife, Rusha, was named after her great-grandmother Jerusha.
The Frenches are buried in Elam and in New Hope in Yalobusha County. I was wondering if you had any information on that line of Stephenses and if you have any Frenches I can contact.
Thank you for being available to help us. I'm finishing most of the markers in Elam today.

I did not see a spouse buried close to Charlie. He is buried in what is called the "singles" section of the cemetery although there are a few couples buried in that section too.
|roy roberts||Robert Lee Roberts/Leila M Langham|
Robert Lee Roberts and Leila Murphree May Langham were my grandparents.
I have found Thomas William Roberts and Rebecca
Criss, my great grandparents, but cannot where "TW"
was before his residence in Mississippi.
Any help appreciated.
