Hi ... My name is Margy. I'm a relative of the William T. and Frances (Callaway) Lamme family and the cemetery is very close to my home. My husband and I have looked after the cemetery for many years. |
Please email me if I can be of any help to you.

Thank you for attemping to notify a relative of this photo; However, I am not a relative. Perhaps a relative will see it on eBay. I absolutely hate seeing old photos in an antique shop. They were someones relatives and to think they were not passed on to another relative does not set well with me. Perhaps there were no living relatives left, but there were a lot of Edgmands in Cherokee county, so why were they not passed on to another relative!
A true story, my dad's double first cousin was the oldest in the family. She got all of her parents photos. She had one child and one time he asked me who the people in the photo were. I had my dads photo, so was able to tell him who they were. He told my sister that he wanted me and her to come over sometime when I was down. There were very few of the pictures that had the names on the back. I lived 150 miles away. I called him several times when I came down, but he always had something going and we were unable to get together. The last time I called him, he told me he had thrown them away. I said, "You don't mean you threw them in the trash?" He said, "Yes, I didn't know who they were." I never called him after that! He had several cousins who would have been happy to have the pictures. They would have been from both sides of our family since our grandmothers were sisters and our grandfathers were brothers.
I think it is very selfish of an individual selling photos, or throwing them awy, rather then give to a relative. Sorry, but it's really a sore spot with me.

I would like to visit this cemetery and am planning a trip to the area the week of Memorial Day. I relate to Jesse Caton, h/o Missouri Lamme.
Please contact me, I need to make my travel plans and without directions, etc., it would be difficult for me to find this cemetery.

Jesse Caton is my 3rd great grand uncle. I am thinking about visiting the Lamme cemetery (it's about a 5 hour drive) and wanted to know if the cemetery is open to the public. If so, I would like to contact you for directions.

you left me a message about a Lawrence Vanover #24223275, that memorial is for a William Vanover, I can see what you are saying about Lawrence Vanover not being a son to Henry Vanover, but I did not list Lawrence under him, it was listed by a Joe Trammell unless I am looking at it wrong. I sure do not mind to help if I can

Please contact me direct at Dustyms@yahoo.com I think I can clear up some stuff for you on tom ben ely. I was at the cemetery today and the date is correct but they are things that you need to know to understand where he was.
