I began doing family genealogy over 30 years ago.After I retired from the military, I became very interested in the Civil War. I had visited many civil war cemeteries, and the many unknown soldiers buried in them. Every soldier who died in war for his country should be known and honored. And the families of the soldier should be able to know where he is buried, this has been my goal to provide that information to those who are searching for a soldier.|
I spend a great deal of my time traveling to battlefields and cemeteries, and researching information on a soldier or person. If at anytime I can be of help or if you need more information please contact me. Or if you have more information on a soldier. If a correction needs to be made "PLEASE" contact me. Don't write an other "BIO" in the Flowers and Notes section of the Memorial. Leave a message or email me anytime.
I will tranfer memorials if it is a request made by a relative of a soldier. If you are not related please do not ask. If you have information in regards to a soldiers memorial I will be more then happy to add it.
"The Bivouac of The Dead"
The muffled drums sad roll's all beat
the soldier's last tatoo,
No more on life's parade shall meet
The brave and fallen few.
The neighing troop, the flashing blade,
The bugles stirring blast,
The charge,the dreadful cannonade,
The din and shout are past.
Rest on embalmed and sainted dead,
Dear as the blood ye gave,
No impious footstep here shall thread.
The herbage of your grave,
On fame's enternal camping ground,
Their silent tents are spread,
And glory guards with solemn round,
The bivouac of the dead.
No vision of the morrow's strife
The warrior's dream alarms,
No braying horn nor screaming fife
At dawn shall call to arms,
No rumor of the foe's advance
Now sweeps upon the wind,
No troubled thought at midnight haunts
Of love ones left behind,
Your own proud land's heroic soil
must be your fitter grave;
She claims from war his richest spoil,
The ashes of the brave.
Note: In making correction to memorials, I will make corrections, Birth dates, Death dates, Marriage dates add a spouse or children, if they have memorials, I will not add long Bio's, I just don't have the time. If you have a Bio I will be more then happy to transfer a memorial to you to add a bio, when finished just transfer it back. I spent a great deal of time traveling to battlefields and cemeteries which takes up a lot of my time, I would be greatful for any help you can give me in regards to memorials.

How are you? Do you have any information if Seth's wife is buried with him at that cemetery?
She is a 2nd great-grandmother to a member of the Lewis Family. We can not find her.
I appreciate your time!

I added photos for memorial #121044747. The message you left helped me figure out I had the right John Mahler, middle initial "F" not "T." Thank you. ~ Joan

I have added a grave marker that Christine Myers shares with Elizabeth Brady, DOB 2/12/1927. Are they related?

Sorry, I don't know where I came up with that number. The correct one is 42924641
|Linda Shellenbarger Smith||66789673 Daniel Musser|
Would you consider transferring this memorial to me also. Daniel is a brother to Abraham Musser #83556921.

Would you consider transferring this memorial to me? Abram Musser is actually Abraham Musser, Grandfather to my Grandmother, Ethel Musser Shellenbarger. I have his memorial #25359499. His wife, Nancy, is buried at Fairmont Cemetery, Auglaize County Ohio. Even though his name is on the marker, he is not buried there. For years I have search for record of his grave in Libby Prison not knowing he is buried at Richmond National Cemetery. My contributor # is 25359499. Thank you.

There are two duplicates of this person. Find A Grave#37961322 and Find A Grave#19113602.
I've uploaded the photo to your memorial and requested that the duplicate be removed.

|Tanya||RE: Loudon Park Burials.|
I appreciate the pointers, I am trying to be diligent. My goal is also to identify who exactly the Unlnown Soldiers are. You are correct, it's a lot of work - but very worth it.
I've been focused solely on Loudon.
Thank you again,
