When I started researching my family history I thought it would be wonderful to preserve memories for generations to come.
Then I found Find A Grave. What a wonderful way to share found information.
If you have anything to share or a correction for any of my memorial pages, please feel free to leave me a message and I will add it.
A big "Thank You" to all who have sent information and will do so in the future. I don't always have time to post a response to your information. But rest assured I will post it to the memorial.
If I have your family member and you would like to take control of it, just let me know.
My family line is Reynolds, Eads, Deckard, Smith, Cazee, Lemon, Connor,

Memorial Transfer
My name is Louie Deckard (Find A Grave - "LLD", #49178896) and Robert Deckard and Laura Mae Vaughn Deckard are my grandparents.

I am requesting the transfer of memorial #67996373, F. Edward "Buck" Deckard and memorial #49569122, James C. Staggs.

I was just transferred the memorials of my grandparents and now the work starts.

"Buck" is the son of Robert & Laura and James was an adopted son (James was Grandson of Laura's sister and she died when James was only 2 years of age when Robert & Laura adopted him).

Thanks, and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Sanford Stewart and Rheba Lanam Stewart
Thank you so much for the transfer! I honestly appreciate your willingness to share your work. I know you've put in a lot of hard work into your contributions with memorials and photos, and I can't even imagine the miles of walking cemeteries you've trekked. For all of it, I and many, many others are grateful.

Thank you,
Brenda

Sanford Stewart and Rheba Lanam Stewart
Hi Debbie,

It was brought to my attention that I had accidentally made a duplicate memorial for Sanford and when I checked it out I realized I had also made a duplicate for his wife Rheba. I contacted Find-a-Grave to see if they could merge the memorials because I had left many "tributes" on both their sites.

I was wondering if you would be willing to transfer these memorials to me. I'm not a direct-line relative but they were my aunt and uncle and I would consider it an honor to manage their memorials.

Their memorial numbers are #48420471 for Sanford and #48526763 for Rheba. Thank you for your consideration.

Regards,
Brenda

RE: Johnny Ridge - Lucas Cemetery
Debbie,

Thank you for transferring Johny's memorial page over to his family. We have started a new memorial and have asked for the old one to be closed. The new memorial is #171213215. We will be posting some new photos of his grave site, showing some of the work we have done on his grave. The William Ridge grave at Lucas is Johny's youngest son, he had a total of nine children. We will be back at Lucas this summer doing more work on the family graves there. We also have quite a few family members buried at Clear Creek.

Again, thank you for the work you have done on his memorial page.

William Ridge - Lucas Cemetery
Hello Debbie,
I am a distant cousin of yours. Bill Ridge and I (cousins too) have been working one our family graves at Lucas Cemetery. I am trying to locate the information on the stone that is marked "Bill Ridge".
Martha (Ridge) Cazee was the daughter of John Crittenden Ridge (known as Crit). Crit was my great uncle, brother to my great grandfather Silas Greene Ridge. Both Crit and Silas were sons of Johny Ridge buried in Lucas Cemetery.
Have you done any research on the Ridges? Death records show two Ridges with no names buried in Smithville (Lucas). One a 10 month old male buried 19 Feb 1899; the other no age just male buried 23 Jul 1900.
I was thinking maybe the infant buried in 1899 might have been William's son. The family Ridge book only says William had a daughter Irene M. Ridge, 25Dec1909-24Feb1912.
I can get a copy of death certificate but cost $15 and may not tell me anything.
Thanks for your help. If you would like to see the Ridge Book you are welcome to come by. I live a mile north of Smithville. you can contact me at indianalucy@hotmail.com or call me cell 812-360-7300. Lois

Johny Ridge #18825285
Debbie, Who is the manager of Johny Ridge's memorial sight? We started to make changes but we are not allowed to. Everything on his memorial site needs to be deleted and reentered.

Johnny Ridge - Lucas Cemetery
Ms. Reynolds,

We left you a message back in August regarding our grant grandfather, Johnny Ridge (Johny). Our family has lived in the Smithville/Sanders, Indiana for over 125 years. The family homestead in Sanders is still in the family. Our family maintains the graves at Lucas Cemetery of our grant grandfather and his son William. We believe that the Bill Ridge grave is an infant son of William. Martha Francis Cazee (Ridge) is the daughter of John Crittenden Ridge, second child of Johnny and Martha Ridge. We have no idea who the people are you have listed on his memorial page. We you like you to close the page down or transfer it over to us so we can make all the corrections. Johnny and Martha Ridge had a total of nine children and we would like to make the changes to the page.

We worked this summer at Johnny’s grave site at the Lucas Cemetery and uncovered two tombstones under Johnny’s tombstone.

We see your family is also linked to the Cazee family.
