Most of the memorials I have are family. If I'm in a cemetery I will check for photo requests and try to fill them. I will also add some memorials that are missing. If I have added a photo of a headstone, you are welcome to use it. If you're looking at my memorials, we may be family. I am always willing to "meet" more family.

Families I'm researching; Birk (Jefferson County, Kentucky), Bonds (Jefferson County, Kentucky), Branch (Jefferson County, Kentucky), Bush (Henry County, Kentucky), Congdon (Rhode Island), Daniels (Massachusetts), Ryan (Massachusetts), Smith (Massachusetts), Snow (Massachusetts), Sutherland (Henry County, Kentucky), Thorne (Massachusetts) & Wentworth (Henry and Trimble Counties, Kentucky).

RE: Branch's in Portland Cemetery
No, I am not related. I would happily transfer ownership of the memorial.

Larry Birk
I believe that I grew up with Larry ( we were 15-18 yrs old)

I lost touch with him over the years ,when I went to look for him to reconnect I found his obit. would love to know where is buried, so I could visit and pay my respects.

He lived with his mom in Shively (part of Jefferson county in the city of Louisville Ky.)

I have such "teen-age" stories too share with his family:)

thanks for any info you can provide

RE: Howard Graham

The lot for Charles Birk is actually spelled "A. Schaurer" on the lot card. Section B, Range 1, Lot 8 is the lot on the right as you make the sharp right turn after the sharp left. Without dates, I did a generic search on names, but did not find any of the names in the database copies I have, though I did find Charles Birk on the lot card. I have maps of all the sections and looked for Joseph Gates and cannot find his name in section 3. The lot number would not be accurate, as there are only three sections that have lots (Section A, B, D), all the rest are individual graves, with exception of the very small "African Division" (AD) areas which are 1AD, 2AD and 3AD.

If you have dates of death, that would be great and would let me narrow the search for location.

Would be happy to show you exact locations, however, if you look at the Eastern page, at the photos, there is a 1994 map there, and you can find where Section B, Range 1 is.

RE: Howard Graham

No apology needed..was just sending a reminder. I've worked closely with Dr. DiBlasi, and sometimes there is a marker when the records say there isn't..alternatively, sometimes there isn't when the records say there is. I've talked with him about that.
If you send me the names of your relatives, I can check to see if I have a location, and can guide you to the spot if I do. I've walked Eastern since about 2008, and know the grounds "fairly well". :)

There is no marker for Mr. Graham in Eastern Cemetery that I've ever been able to find. If you want a photo of an overview of that section, I'd be happy to send you one, but the records, maps, and section cards do not indicate an stone set in place. I have walked that section many times and have not found a marker.

You wrote me awhile ago about him and who he was married to. I found it in my old email. Would you mind taking a look and telling me if I got it right or if it's all mixed up?
If it's wrong, let me know what I need to change.
Thank you,
