Our Oriental Heritage: The Story of Civilization

born in Arkansas, 1948; spent 20 years in the military & retired in 1993; owned business from 1990 - 2001 in Virginia; now living in Louisville, KY with my 90 yo mom, about 0.5 mi from the Jewish cemeteries...

I focus primarily on military/veterans, and the local Jewish cemeteries... I try to take very clear photos, especially of headstones with Hebrew. I also include a photo of the back of the stone, so interested parties can see that all information has been captured.

RE: Gary L. Dickey
Oh Marsha, you are most welcome honey! I prefer memorials that I maintain go to someone who knew and loved the person. He is where he belongs. And that makes me as happy as you.

Marsha, he has been transferred to you. Thank you for the sponsorship of him and allowing the transfer, he will be happier with family of sorts.

Hi Marsha,

Thank you for your sponsorship of Gary. Would you like to maintain his memorial? I will happily transfer to you.

Jewish Cemetery
Hi Marsha, I noticed in your bio you mentioned an interest in your local Jewish Cemeteries. Are you able to translate monuments written in Hebrew? I found a cemetery in PA and just wondering what the stones say. The photos are not fabulous, they were done in a hurry and many are so close together they were taken at an angle. Sarah

RE: George W Finley
You're very welcome. The quality wasn't my best, but the stone was just too badly worn.

You're very welcome. I have the entire cemetery in my files, but just haven't had time to upload them all. Let me know if you need any more and I will be happy to add them.

Raymond Abrams
I took the photo of Raymond's marker this morning and will be posting it. FYI the adjacent grave is for his wife Shirley Abrams Sept 30, 1925 to September 11, 2001. I have a photo of her marker if you want to set up a memorial. steve
