Open for discussion re: transfer guidelines, i.e., is it better for a known family member to care for the memorial and receive contacts and answer questions about that family or for a person totally unrelated and, perhaps, inactive to receive such queries. I wonder about those guidelines as they now stand. If you are remotely related to a person whose memorial I created or were personally acuainted with the family I shall be more than happy to transfer said memorial. I don't feel qualified to answer questions about that person or their family nor do I have the time to field all of those questions. I have made those memorials to honor the deceased, not to honor me! It is sufficient to the cause that the memorial exists at all, no?

Paternal: From Great Britain to Virginia and North Carolina all!
Maternal: From Germany and England to Wisconsin to South Dakota to California!

Turberville Family
Candy - I sent the following message to Mrs. Bee. I would love to be able to take over the Turberville Find a Grave sites since I own most of the documentation, old letters, Bible records - and their home, Leeton in Chantilly VA. Not to mention that I am a Turberville. Here is that message so I don't repeat myself. When I try to submit changes to websites - I have to wait for approval from the owner and this take so much time. Thanks so much - Tricia Petitt

Cornelia Lee Turberville Stuart
Mrs. Bee - I am trying to correct information on several of the Find a Grave websites for my family. Cornelia Lee Turberville was born here at Leeton, my family's home in which I live. She was born to Henrietta Lee (Richard Henry Lee & Anne Gaskins) and George Richard Lee Turberville (not his cousin Col. George Lee Turberville). This is a common error due to the close names and relationships. Corbin-Turberville-and Lees married in every generation so we are pretzels. Cornelia inherited a portion of Leeton Plantation and she named it Chantilly after her grandfather's plantation in Westmoreland Co. This Chantilly was in Fairfax Co and was burned by the Union army and the city got it's name from this portion of plantation. Cornelia married her cousin, Charles Calvert Stuart - hence her last name being Stuart on her tombstone. Cornelia's brother was George Richard Lee Turberville, II and he was my 3rd. great grandfather - buried in my cemetery in my yard at Leeton. I wrote the 2 volume set of books called The Turbervilles of Virginia. My question to you is will you let me take possession of this page on Turberville? I have photos and documentation I can add to the pages. Thanks so much - Tricia Petitt

Jean M. W.
I meant his son Reuben Troy Sanders seems to have spelled his name in the conventional way.

Rueben/Reuben Sanders
Dear Candy
I noticed that on his tombstone and on his wife Keren's his name is also spelled Rueben. I have been spelling it the other way too, but I think we have to go with what is written on the stone.
He is my fourth great grandfather. Even though his son spelled in Rueben Troy Sanders ( my 3rd great grandfather)
Blessings, Jean

James Smith
I am trying to determine if your James Smith (64724630) is the same as James Smith (114050070). Do you have information or source that proves that James died unmarried? Thank you, Wayne Foster 47372726

Hi Candy, I have memorialized my stillborn Aunt with Find A Grave Memorial# 127801865, and will of course remove it. Would you, respectively, be able to transfer maintenance to me?
Thank You for finding and creating this wonderful tribute.

Hi Candy. I tried to add additional info on roy from his death certificate, but the system thinks I am a robot or something...anyway, from his death cert
...died age 38 of diabetes. Was for many years an Engineer at the Commonwealth Mine, but had to leave as his health declined. At his death left behind a wife and two young sons at Pearce.
Hey, Candi, if you are ever able to track down who the wife and sons were we would love to find them. Their names are never mentioned anywhere I can find.
