|I was born in Calhoun Co. MS to Rubert L. Kimbrell and Alice E. (Johnson) Kimbrell. I attended school in Ellard, MS,Houston,TX,Bruce, MS and Memphis, TN, where I graduated from South Side High in 1955. After graduation I moved to MO with my husband, Donald R. Williford, who was also raised in Bruce, MS and have lived in Desloge, MO since 1960. I served as City Clerk in Desloge from 1972 thru 1978, then as Clerk of the Circuit Court for St. Francois Co. for the next 30 yrs., both of which were elective positions. I love world travel, having visited 6 continents and over 30 countries and taking thousands of photos. Since retirement, my passion has been genealogy and enjoy hearing from people all over the country who are related to me in some way, either by blood or marriage. I make frequent trips thru the South, "digging up dead people" and visiting relatives.|

While adding photos to memorials tonight, I ran across this and thought you might need to know. This memorial states that this is the daughter of W.R. & Ella Johnson. I added two photos to the memorial. The headstones were just a few feet from one another. They both seem to have the same birth and death dates as the memorial. One says infant son of W.R. & A.A. Johnson and the other infant daughter of W.R. & A.A. Johnson. I'm wandering if they might have been twins? I can remove one or both of the photos. Please just let me know.
|Scott Shipp||Andrew Ray Shipp|
My name is Scott Shipp, and I am the great grandson of Andy Ray. I was wondering if you would transfer his memorial to me. I have discovered a lot of info about my family and about Andy Ray, and his wife Lula. I recently visited the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Big Creek, MS and have many headstone pictures I want to add to Find A Grave. Many of my ancestors are buried there. And as an aside, Andy's wife, Lula, was a Denley. It has taken me over a year to verify this, partly because the Census records were inaccurately indexed with a last name of Dueley, not Denley. Look forward to your reply.

In response to your earlier question re: Clara & family after Tom's death: her daughter, Maudie, was married to Swift Houston and they remained in Tupelo. Older daughter Carrie lived in several states such as Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama and Texas. She was living in Texas when she died. Daugter Mary, my mother, moved from Tupelo to Memphis in the early 1940's and remained there until her death in 2003. She gave birth to 11 children and raised 10 to adulthood. Son Edward moved to Nashville and died with cancer. Clara's primary residence was with Maudie and Swift but she spent several months of the year with daughters Carrie and Mary. Clara never remarried.

I posted a picture of Sam from a memorial book about those in WWI. It shows he was killed in France. Below his picture it shows his home town and the K.A. means killed in action.

Can you tell me where Ruben Hitt is buried? You have him in Bellefontaine Cemetery and the only one I know is North Union Cemetery.

Hello again Shirley. If any way possible I am just asking for a transfer of these memorials in Collums cemetery in Calhoun County. Nathan Easley 23743593, Ila Easley 23743598, Dixie Easley 23743585, and Jim Easley 23743624.
These are my paternal grandparents and great grandparents. I know you have done a great job here in Calhoun for Find A Grave and I think actually we may have some of the same family, so if I have added anyone whom you would request on your family behalf I can transfer to you as well. Thank you for your hard work.

|William G. Latham Jr.||RE: Martha Jane Williams|
Martha Jane Williams was indeed the daughter of Benjamin Cody & Martha Jane "Ham" Williams. All the Williams buried at Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, are descendants of Benjamin Cody Williams.
