|Loretta Lynn Layman||RE: Mem #58478813 - Norene McDaniel Ferguson|
Hi Rebecca. I'm sorry if I never answered your question. I don't remember seeing it, but then it came during my recovery from a major surgery. From the Gallia County Probate Court register of marriages, I have Nora Chapman and John Ferguson married 10 Dec 1887. In the 1900 census, then, John Furgeson [sic] age 35, b. Aug 1864, and Nora Furgeson age 38, b. Aug 1861, living in Upper Tshp., Lawrence Co., OH with John's stepdaughters Dora M. Chapman b. Nov 1881 and Anna Chapman b. Jan 1884, and John and Norene's daughter Bessie Furgeson b. Jan 1888. The census states that John and Nora were married 13 years, confirming the 1887 marriage record. Finally, the Lawrence Register Index of Deaths 1909-1945 lists John Ferguson d. 1 Oct 1909 and Nora Ferguson d. 16 Apr 1916, both in Lawrence Co.

use a MacBook for Genealogy work so i only know how to do it on Macs. so for a, all you do is press a and hold. a some screen that has the a with all the grammar mark above the a. each a has a number under it. in my case, ä is above the 4. so i press 4 and the a is charged.

Hello! I'm writing to ask if you could please share the source of your information for Rebekah Kennedy Meadows-Memorial #22309030. My 2X Great-grandfather was her brother, Stephen Kennedy-Memorial #32311579. I am having difficulty finding reliable info for the siblings in this family. There is a lot of differing info posted on various family trees. Some show 12 children in this family while others show 9 children. Could you please help me out here? I want the info on my tree to be accurate. Thanks so much. Sincerely, Judy Jones

That would be fine with me. I can take responsibility for her or you can continue. Either is fine with me.

About a year ago I visited and photographed both cemeteries. They are so close you can see from one to the other. However you are correct the Dardenne Presbyterian Rock Cemetery is the older and is surrounded by a black fence so it's very easy to determine which headstones are located there. I then found cemetery records from the church and added memorials to the Rock Cemetery. Once finished, I discovered a lot of these memorials had incorrectly been previously entered into the Church Cemetery. So now there are a lot of duplicates which I'm trying to make right by notifying members.
When I started the correct memorial for Malinda and added the headstone photo, I gave you credit for the additional information. It's up to you how you want to handle this, just let me know.
I'm not related, I was just attempting to update a local cemetery.
