Bio and Links
Bio Photo I got interested in genealogy while researching two family samplers from the late 1700's and early 1800's. I am a proud member of NSDAR and other lineage organizations, and delight in discovering new pieces of family history for myself and friends.

Karin,

I really don't know why children from his first marriage were not listed. I do know an obit is a legal document and to not name these children would make things a lot easier. I know from experience. I named one but not the others on an obit. He waited forever to sign a paper I sent him.

You might try the Historical Society before you make a road trip. They are very helpful. I don't know their hours but their number is 717-242-1022.

I'm not related either. I got most info from just walking and photographing cemeteries. Since these are in Mifflin County, PA I'm guessing most of the Moists are related in some way. Any additional info (if it wasn't on the marker) was from edits sent by others. I'm not originally from here so I know next to nothing about anyone from here.

Which numbers are these? Can you put this question in the edit tab at each so I can check? I'm not related to them so if they are in your line you are welcome to manage them.

Sorry, I just documented all headstone in St Josephat's. Not related, don't have any further info about siblings.

RE: children of Lucena Moon Ritchie
I posted a better picture of Lucenea's gravestone on her memorial. It's the best I have. I didn't take the picture. I believe I found it on the web somewhere. My tree on Ancestry.com has the family you mentioned, but I don't know their burial locations and so didn't make memorials for them.

Oh, I have to reduce them in size to put them on Find a Grave. I have a full sized photo - about twice the size of the one on here, that I can email to you, just let me know your email address and make sure you can accept attachments. I'm out of town tomorrow, so it won't be until Mon/Tues, until I have time to find it and email it.

If that's still not big enough, I can take another, the problem is, that if I change the camera settings to increase the pixels, then I can't fit as many photos on my card, so it can't be a day that I'm taking a lot of photos. But I'm in Auburn often, so it won't be more than a week or two.

Lowell to Manchester, a little over 2 hours by car. No idea how long it would take by horse. :)
