I am trying to locate the names of Julia's parents. She married into my husband's family and is buried in Pike County. I noticed you had left a note and was hoping you could help.

Thanks! :D

RE: Nettie Fisher Sessions

Thank you for the correction on the spelling of Sarah's name. I have posted Netties death record and you can see this is where I got the other spelling. I know these records are not always correct. I have also posted pages for Sarah & William Fisher too with their death records and Louis Sessions too. My father's first wife, Mary Alice married Joseph Sessions in Memphis, TN.

Thanks again, Molly

RE: Mississippi Shaw Graves
Thank you Ann. I am having such a hard time finding hard data about Elizabeth Fryer Shaw. I know that she married Alexander C Shaw because of her mother Ann Cheatham's will. However, I can not substantiate her marriage to Alexander C Shaw or the time of her death. I know that she died before 1846 because Alexander married again in 1846 to a younger woman that I believe was the house keeper who helped raise his two sons by Elizabeth Fryer Shaw.

Elizabeth Shaw
I hurriedly gave the wrong names. It is Elizabeth D Fryer Shaw and Osimus Shaw in the above message.

Elizabeth Shaw
I am looking for a family member named Elizabeth Dameron who married Alexender C Shaw who was born in North Carolina and then lived in Alabama and then moved to Madison County Missippi. They had two childred in Madison County. Their names were OSimus D Dameron and Archibald Alexander Shaw. I found this grave for Elizabeth Shaw and Jane Shaw who died in 1836. I wonder if the Elizabeth Shaw in Oktibbeha could have been Elizabeth D Fryer Shaw and she could have died in childbirth Jane is herdaughter. Do you have any more information on this gravesite?

Carla Coggins
Hi, Ann!

I am Carla Coggins, and my family came from Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, and Missouri.

My families are both . . . no "s" and ending with "s." Currently my husband, dogs and I live in Texas. We were both born in Arkansas, but our families come from Missouri and Tennessee. Our historical families comes from Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia.

This may be no help, but from what I can tell . . . some procession records are so hard to read . . . we came from Ireland/Scotland. Our earliest recorded ancestors are Anthony Coggin and Thomas Coggin. The "s" has been somewhat a ping-pong ball . . . who had the "s" . . . who did not!

If you have any information to share, please inform me! I just find out about this site today!

Thank you for your consideration,

Carla Coggins (Loucks)
Fort Worth, Texas
