Davidson Cemetary
We go to Davidson 3 times a year. You can go into the gate on north side of the cemetary. For your next visit!

William Armstrong gravestone
Thank you, Susie 'Anonymous', for adding my picture of William Armstrong's stone in Yatesville cem., Morgan Co., IL. The photo was taken at least 20-25 years ago. The stone has now deteriorated, so it's a treasure to have this picture from the past. William Armstrong was my 2nd gr-grandfather, who was one of the 'first settlers'in this township of Morgan County, IL. He served in the War of 1812. I am happy you had the skills to add it to the site. Thank you so much. Ruth L. Lepper

Davidson Cemetery
What bad luck. I was fortunate it was open. My visit was probably 20 years ago. You may wish to contact the cemetery association before you visit. Good luck

RE: Obediah Nix
Just realized that you also posted a photo of Harriet! That is wonderful. Thank you.

My husband, Eddie, is the 3rd great grandson of Obediah making Hariett his 2nd great grand aunt.

RE: Harriet Nix Peveler
Nope, not a Peveler. Luvicy & Obediah's child Mary Arminda is my great-great-grandma so Harriet is my 3-great-aunt by blood. But I'm happy to call you cousin anyway. And I appreciate your data on her. You have one more child than I had on her.

You did a great job with that memorial. Where did you get that photo?

Harriet Nix Peveler
Fantastic data & photo on her. You must be a descendant? Harriet was my 3g-aunt. Thanks for posting and for all you do here.

Joshua Armstrong grave stone photo
Susie, I can't thank you enough for the work and time you (and Mike) give to remembering Joshua. I am so pleased that his descendants can see the photos of his grave stone, and particularly this one, which I took in either 1980 or '81 when the cemetery was so lovingly cleaned and restored by Mrs. Lena Goeman and her neighbors and friends. Keeping an old cemetery is a tremendous job and expense--a hugh undertaking. So thanks to findagrave volunteers, people from a long distance can see these markers as they once were.

I proudly claim Joshua as one of my Patriot Ancestors for NSDAR membership. Thanks to Ninian Edwards chapter for marking his grave and honoring his service. The Armstrong family gave much for American Independence. Three of Joshua's brothers served and two gave their lives.
