Robin, where did you find the gravestone of Amos Sherwood that you took a picture of in 2011? He is an ancestor of mine and I want to find his stone again. The first time I found it, in 1999, it was secluded on private property on Rocklake Road, Rocklake, PA. hidden in deep underbrush. Is it still there?

Robin, I see that you took a picture of Amos Sherwood's grave stone in 2011. He is an ancestor of mine who died in 1881 and I actually took a grave stone rubbing of his gravestone in 1999. At that time his gravestone was located on the property of my cousin, Donald Pfeufer, at Crooked Creek Farm, Rocklake Road, Rocklake, PA. (Donald has since died.) Amos Sherwood's stone was secluded and hidden in underbrush and very hard to get to due to bushes and overgrowth. Is this where you found the stone?
Thanks for any information because I would like to find the stone again. I hope this is still where I can reach you.

Thomas Maydwell

I took pictures for your Thomas Maydwell request, however. there is no gravestone for Thomas Maydwell, nor his wife, Lucy Fleshart Maydwell. Most of the gravestones have been destroyed or removed over the years probably due to the weather. There is one large stone and a couple of small ones. I made a nice photo of the area where the grave area once was. I could make a memorial to each of them and use this picture if you'd like. Let me know what you think.
