Dorcas Tovrea
Rev Thomas Tovrea is supposedly buried in Diamond Grove Cemetery, Downs, IL
I am working to restore this cemetery. I have found tombstones for Dorcas Tovrea and John T. Tovrea. It is my understanding that Mary McGhee Tovrea is buried in Iowa. Can you help me?

RE: Julia Ann Moore Tovrea
That last marriage record which has the name John in the bride's column is the one I think is right. John Moore was Julia's brother.

I found the Parker marriage record also. Now I've also found this curious one:

DANIEL, WILLIAM H TOVREA, JULIA ANN 1848-11-16 B 194 LIC DATE MC LEAN

Also before Joshua was dead. I love a good mystery like this one, and I can't put it down even though Julia is not in my direct line...

Julia Ann Moore Tovrea
I see there is a memorial for her here: 59051775 where you left helpful information,
but I think this is her grave: 12102428.

Maybe you can corroborate? I found a news article on Ancestry which seems connect the Julia Moore who married Joshua Tovrea and the Julia Moore who married Henry Baker.

It's an article from the Decatur Review April 18, 1909. The article is about the estate of Joshua Tovrea (who died years ago) being called into question by the heirs of Mrs. Julia Baker now deceased. Mrs. Baker apparently assigned her dower's portion of the Tovrea estate to another party.

Let me know what you think, but I feel confident that these are the same woman.

The way this is suppose to work is the person with the earliest memorial takes presence and the later memorial needs to be erased. Mine was established several days before yours. Generally when it's a relative I will transfer my memorial to you, then you transfer your information onto that memorial and delete yours. Seeing that you've added so much to your memorial I will delete mine instead. In the future you need to check and see if a memorial has been established before you establish one.
Seasons greetings to you and yours,
Shirley

Charles Atkinson
Gladys, thank you so much for adding the records and bio for my maternal 4th g'g'ftr Charles Atkinson. I'm on his wife Elizabeth Miller's mtDNA line through their daughter Hannah Atkinson Rich. I have tested my autosomal DNA with FTDNA Family Finder and AncestryDNA. My Gedmatch.com # is F242885. I would like contact from descendents of Charles Atkinson and Elizabeth Miller who have tested their autosomal DNA.

Warm regards,
Donna Parten

Addie Stacey notes Albia IA
Gladys Thank you so much for posting your little notes and flowers to all the Tovrea memorials. It has helped me straighten out the "red flag" in my database having two "Addie" Stacys one Lodema Adeline mother to Charles "Frank" Smiley and the other, Sarah Adeline, mother to his wife Nellie May Tovrea.
