I browse the old newspapers stored at the Henderson County Historical Comm., and have an obit for her; if you wish to add it to her memorial I will send as an edit. Thanks,
Wayne Smith

Margaret W. Fillip is my grandmother, her sons are Boyce brence langford jr. and Michael Wayne Langford, the later is my Father, the one who was in the vehicle during the accident. he wasn't entirely unharmed, he did get a metal bar through his leg and forced to watch both his mother and sister die before his eyes.. other than that, great work on the upkeep of her page, and thank you for your efforts.

Dudley and James Fawvor musicians

My name is Wade Falcon and I work on articles on Early Cajun Music.

I'm writing an article about your relatives Dudley and James Fawvor that recorded for Columbia/Okeh in 1928. They were one of the first Cajun recording artists ever. Not much is known about them. I'm hoping you can help provide more information.

I see the pictures of them on the Find A Grave. I was wondering if I can use them.

Any stories about their family? Upbringing? Musical history?

I can share information I have about them with you. Thanks for any help.

I will try to get out this afternoon with a scraper and whisk broom and clear the mud from this marker. It is up against a tree.

RE: Barbara M. Johnson Howard
Thanks for the information. Like I said earlier I believe she is one of three burials that I found that had no connection to anyone else in the cemetery. This is a very private family cemetery and for one to be buried there, outside of the family, permission had to be obtained. Of course, those who were in charge back then have all died and no one I have asked knows who she is. I have done quite a bit of research on the people buried there while working on getting the cemetery declared historical which it is. And now I am working on getting an historical marker placed there.

It appears that you may be related to the subject individual in some way since (again, it appears) that her grandmother was a Fawvor. Do you know if she is related in any way to the other people buried at McKinney cemetery? Or do you have any information on her burial there. I have researched all of the known burials and she is one of two that remain a mystery. Could you shed any light on why she was buried at McKinney. All but a few are related in some way to the descendants of James and Elizabeth McKinney. I would appreciate any info you may have.

RE: cousins

It's nice to meet a relative - no matter how distant or how far away. Are you in Texas? I am in California.

It's sad that at my ripe old age (I'm 78) I'm just now learning some of my parents' history.

My email address is
