I have been doing genealogy research for a lot of years now and have found many wonderful things about my ancestors. I have been amazed at how everyone involved in genealogy are so willing to help. I have met so many wonderful people in my searching and wish I could actually meet them in person. I am now working on my husband's family and my moms. The search is never done.|
Some of the names that are in my search are Karlstrom, Hadley, Price, Armitage, Watson, Niel, Neal, McMullen, Flick, Bush, Rigg, Brown and Ludlow.
My husband and I have been married 47 years and he has been very patient with my searching. He has walked many a cemetery with me looking for family. We have 2 children and 2 grandchildren, a very spoiled Chow and 2 very fat cats.
I enjoy genealogy, quilting, scrap-booking and just about any craft. I retired from nursing 2 years ago and have been able to spend more time on genealogy.
I think Find A Grave is a wonderful way to help people find their family and love to be able to help in anyway I can. I love to share any info or pictures of gravestones that I have. My goal is to help people find their loved ones and not to see how many I can add to my name. I live in Wichita, KS and have contacts in Joplin, MO area so I would be glad to help anyone in any way I can.

I am trying to verify that Henry, Sarah's husband, was my great-grandfather's brother.
I believe that both Henry and Sarah lived in Wapello County, IA in 1860. 'Iowa Select Marriages 1809 to 1992' says Henry and Sarah were married in Wapello County, IA on 12 Sep 1861. I believe their first child, Peter, was born in IA in Jul 1862
Can you clarify the entry of them being married in New York,in 1860?
And the Death Cert shown, shows that Henry died in MO not OK, on the 26th and was buried on the 27th. Can you clarify this?
Thanks, Jim Powers

Hi Edith, here's a link to Sarah's mom's grave, and you'll see her father's there too. Thought you'd want to link them. Thanks!
