Bio Photo I'm an Angeleno who loves to learn about local and not-so-local history. Among other things, I travel, talk to people, and volunteer in graveyards. :-)

Extra points (and a jar of vegemite) to you if you know the town where I found my lovely street sign.

Oh, fiddle. It's got to be Australia [you said "vegemite" not "marmite"]. Either Brisbane, Hobart, Melbourne, or Sydney.

RE: Burlesons and Mapes
Thank you so much for taking the pictures of Nettie Burleson, Harrell Burleson, and George and Eunice Mapes. I did not have any information on George, so it is nice to know the marker dates.

Don't tell me which city your street marker is in. I too am looking around the globe, but haven't had any luck in finding one.

Someday I might just surprise you.

Thanks again,
Dennis Johnson

Elizabeth Street
According to Google Earth, in Los Angeles County, there are Elizabeth Streets in Cudahy, Baldin Park, Norwalk, Pasadena, and Compton.
As a Northern Californian, can't say which one.

Hi Elizabeth,
Thanks. He was married twice, one wife's name was Abby. I don't know the name of the other. If there is any Lockett near his plot, it probably is her. Maybe you could just copy down all the Locketts who were buried before 1960. I don't know how tall an order that is. I believe when I called, the lady said I would have to know a first name. I said perhaps "Abby" and she said "no". I was just hoping there would be an adjacent or nearby stone. I would really like to know the names.
Regards, Mary

Artie and Fredrick Lowry

Hello Elizabeth

Thank you so very much.
These are beautiful pictures. I especially appreciate the perspective showing the flowers and the area around the crypt.

Another thank you for the view of the building. I have looked for Artie and Fred for many years, and it's very nice to finally find them and to see this beautiful place.

Thank you for your kindness and for all your effort.
Ev Hanks

Thank you so much for taking your time and going to the cemetery. Martha is my gg grandmother's sister. It always makes my heart sad when there is not headstone. Thanks for the flowers.
