You have added two photos to the memorial of Fred Charles Fuqua #125398270. One is correct but the other should be moved to the memorial for his son, Fred Charles Fuqua #150730471. Thank you.

RE: Robert D. Fox - Cascade Cemetery

Hello Sue,

Thanks for filling me in on Vernice. I love a good mystery...and with Vernice, so many twists and turns!

Robert D. Fox - Cascade Cemetery

Hello Sue,

I am not related to the Fox family. I just happen to live 1 mile from Cascade Cemetery and am interested in local history and genealogy. I see, from looking on ancestry.com, that Vernice was married a number of times. Most people on ancestry think she died as a Teft/Teff/Taft in Ottawa County in 1999, but there were at least three other marriages...and I did not find her in Ottawa Counties obituary index. At the time of her mother's death in 1972, she was listed as Vernice Lopez of Ada. My question to you is, do you know when Vernice actually died, and her married name at the time of her death? Perhaps her obituary would offer a clue as to her daughter. In the obituary index for the Grand Rapids papers there are obituaries for 14 different Vernices, ranging from 1968-2013.

Regards,

Mike Cronk

I have a friend who is a great-granddaughter of theirs. I do not know if you know her or not. If you have a tree at Ancestry dot com, I assume it is set to private. If you do not know of my friend, it is possible she may have things of interest to you in regards to your genealogy work.

No problem; I only made the entry because I chase Civil War gravesites.....

Oberle's
Did you notice I also took pictures of Joseph & Mary Jane Oberle's stones? Not sure if they are the same family or not. Karen
