RE: Ewing Photos
Jim-I agree with you about Bertran. I assume who ever inventoried the cemetery read it as I did, as they are very difficult to read. I'm going back to the cemetery the first part of next week with aluminum foil & brush in hand to see if I can get a better reading on the headstones. I have tried water & mirror lighting to no avail. I will also need it for the Martin headstone as it is really worn. Please bear with me. Carolyn

RE: Ewing Photos
Sorry,I'm a bit confused. the burial records at the cemetery have a Bertha (female) listed as being buried there. Have no info on the person listed as being buried in grave 1.

On the Find A Grave listing, there is a Bertha Ewing listed and I assumed it was her from the inscription on the back side of the headstone and being in the Ewing plot. Plus in the family plot the stone in the middle has Robert Ewing, but with a different birth & death date. I did take a picture of it, but have no means of attaching it from here. I will change the comments to read Bertram and Thanks for the correction.

Took your photos today & thot I'd let you know it says born on Oct 1, 1800 & died on Aug 22, 1873. You might request from the lady that put it on as it says she is in the process of deleting all that are not kin to her. Very sad!

Mary Wilson in Colo cemetery
I will be uploading the photo of Mary Wilson in a minute and will also be uploading the photo of the stone for Mary A. Wilson who appears to be a daughter who died in infancy.

The two stones are side-by-side and are also set between the following two stones:

Sarah and James McCoy
Martin and Maude McCoy

All four stones are made from the same material and have the same general art design. It seemed odd to see the two stones for Mary Wilson's between the McCoy couples. Seems that they must have been related.
