RE: Bridget Lamb McGary, my ggg grandmother

Thank you from the fast reply -

That is what I thought about the name, but is also "good" to add that kind of information to the Bio or info section to help us genealogy research type folks understand the records and possible errors in the records.

By the way the original record also has info that you do not have

Not sure what you were saying about the duplication. From my understanding of the rules on Find A Grave we are not suppose to duplicate records, but we suppose to use the edit functions to get the original updated. I have found that even if the originator does not respond, then within about 30 days the edits are automatically incorporated.

Also you can always ask to have the maintenance transferred to you. If you see any I have you want let me know and you can take them over.

Bridget Lamb McGary
Hi, Mr. Moore:

First of all "Bridges" was not my ggg grandmother's name. That was a mistake on the tombstone. Her name was Bridget Lamb McGary. Lamb was her maiden name. She married N, Bernard McGary. All other records say "Bridget".

The original does not list all the children and spouses. Mine does. We do not know her birthdate exactly, because I as yet cannot find a birth record on her in Ireland.

Sincerely,
Brownie MacKie

Bridget Lamb McGary
Hello Brownie.
I did not realize that the original memorial was transferred to me. I try very hard to make everyone happy, and onceó I had created a duplicate, not realizing I had done so. So I removed mine, and asked the person with the original if they would add my notes. They added them. :)

I do not recall hearing from you. If I am remiss, I am sorry, and will be happy to accommodate your notes...as they seem to include the same information, that we are all seeing.
Maybe, you can delete yours, and I will transfer the original to you...and in turn you will carry my notes, OR, I can send you my notes, and it will help link these families even more...

I am doing my best to follow the F-A-G rules, and be flexible and accommodating as best I can.

G

Thanks,
G

Duplicate of Bridget Lamb McGary
Yours copy has information that needs to be added to the original/first record. I also noticed the headstone has her first name as "Bridges" not "Bridget", also the dates are in question. If you have a better source than the headstone you should consider putting a note in the Bio section

It appears your Record added: Feb 15, 2015 for Find A Grave Memorial# 142659267 is a duplicate of one Maintained by: G. Abbott that was added: Aug 25, 2011 Find A Grave Memorial# 75472196.

Just noticed your message on Howard Hooks memorial. I have linked him to his parents. Do you have other information to be put on his memorial, like an obit or know of other family members? Would like to chat if you have other information. Bobbye Varner
