Bio and Links
Bio Photo When we pass, we take decades of knowledge, experiences, family wisdom and delightful stories with us to The Next Place. But I want MORE! If my Family gathers to celebrate my life, I want to gracefully glide unseen amongst them as they share their favorite stories.
Perhaps...just perhaps the youngsters will remember some of them. To hand down yet they become embellished.
In FAG, we have the chance to document stories and factoids that may otherwise be lost forever, as each generation marches into the future.

Thanx to those of you who leave flowers for my Mom, Marilyn Wright Mader, Dad, LTC. Gene W. Mader, my wacky baby sister, Lisa Ann Mader Putnam, Ronald Richard Kropczynski, and Woman's Best Friend, Miss Sheba.

As a Veteran and daughter of one, I believe that we should honor our Veterans~~the women and men who have fought and sacrificed for this great Republic by noting their service in their memorial. The courageous dead deserve to be honored and remembered.

**Thanks to each of you who is dedicated enough to send edits. A little clue here, and a little research there rebuilds the lives of those whom we remember and honor.+++

***In most cases I am willing to transfer memorials of people who are not family to me. Please tell me how you are related to that person and make your request through the edit tab on the memorial. Thank you.***

Nancy Buxton Boles
I have seen that there is a family bible that lists the Alfred Shannon and Melissa Buxton children's names. Melissa was the youngest of the Buxton children by Jacob's second wife. She is my 4th grandmother. Alfred disappeared between 1857 and 1860 when she remarried Barnard Alwine. She had three boys with him, and then he disappeared. She was declared destitute and sent to the poorhouse where she committed suicide.

RE: Van Sickles
Thanks for the comment. My grandmother was Rhoda VanSickle, so I have collected information about a great many individuals with the VanSickle name (and variants of the name). If useful to you, I can give you an access link to my entire tree.

Hello mmmader,

You're doing fine.

Not really devoted to the Wright family, except in correctly defining where the linked ancestors came from vs. what printed literature has claimed and has been adopted as fact by uninformed descendants.

I now "maintain" the memorial of Josiah Wright, 3rd of North Hero, VT [22314031] and made a slight edit that corrected your original sketch to reflect the persons who relocated from Pittsfield to Greenville. If you have other things to add, please let me know.

You provided an extended sketch that was inserted in the memorial of Josiah Wright [the 3rd], son of Josiah Wright, Jr., son of my ancestor Dea. Josiah Wright, Sr. of Pittsfield, Mass. [44163068]

Do you recall where you found it?

Thank you so much for the kind message. It is a very rewarding experience to get these old obit out there for people that may be searching for info/answers. I want to be able to allow my children to experience that feeling. This site really is wonderful and I am so happy to be a part of it.

I hope you have a FABULOUS new year and wish many blessings to come your way.

One more thing.....
I also meant to thank you for serving as a nurse in the Armed Forces. I know if the men and women you cared for, whether they recovered or passed away, remembered you with gratitude for your kind compassionate care to them. I was in a car acc'd. in mid Feb., am still wearing a support boot on my right leg from 3 broken bones; I will be setting alarms off at airports for the rest of my life. I had to stay at a care facility both before and after surgery for @5 wks., although it seemed like forever, and the nurses and cna's were such a God Send, helping me with the most basic of needs while lying in a hospital bed, only able to feed myself, talk on a phone, watch TV, and just hurt, waiting for healing to take place. It was painful in so many ways and made me so grateful to come home again just a few months ago where I continue to recover. Just to let you know that I'm sure you've been in many persons' prayers of gratitude many a night and, on behalf of my father, who was shot down in the South Pacific during WWII and was only one of two crew members to survive, Thank You for your care and compassion. It takes a certain special type of person to care for those unable to do anything for themselves, trying to comfort them and ease their pain under far from the best of circumstances, and I would guess there will be some of those people waiting to greet and thank you when your time comes to pass from this life. God Bless you and yours. From my heart, With All Sincerity, Kathie L. Webb Blair, Portland, OR

RE: Freda Clark Mader
I'm glad if my words helped as I've also lost my grandparents and mother, miss them all. This site is special to me as we can console each other and also leave words for our family members who are no longer with us, words we wish we could say to them if only they were here, for even just a moment more.... and, in a way, I think they know how we feel and what we write. It comforts me to think that way, at any rate. Take care and may God Comfort you and all of us who honor our Loved Ones, Veterans, those lost in the wars, little children and others on this special site.
