I am married, the mother of 4, grandmother of 9, and great-grandmother of 7. I am a retired RN. My paternal ancestors lived in eastern Pennsylvania, with some fighting in both the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. Main PA surnames are: Barrington/Briody, Billheimer, Bunstein/Bonnstein, Fenstermacher, Freed, Horn, Osterstock, Strunk, and Webber/Weaver. My maternal ancestors were Alley in NY, and Smith in CT, MN, and OR.|

Many thanks for the edits and link. I did some quick background research and discovered that he was a noted agricultural educator, lecturer and writer. Very interesting. The Oregonian in Portland published an extensive biography of him at the time of his death. I've posted a transcript of the article.

Thank you so much for taking my aunts tombstone picture I always thought Roy was with her, but I know for sure She was my favorite and I hope one day to get to Portland and go out to the cemetery
