I was born in Scottdale, PA, in a home on West Pittsburgh Street built by my grandfather ca. 1926. I married into the Hanlon family of Washington County, Ohio in 1961 which includes Haught, Cross, Tice, Skinner, Ruble, Joy, Martin, Cline and many others.|
I began research on our families in July 1977 and have published several family histories since 1982. I am descended from many early residents of Fayette and Westmoreland counties including: Sanner, Storms, Schneider/Snyder, Mueller/Miller, Murray, Nichelson/Nicholson, Hall, Prinkey, Shirey, Davenport, Rowe, Freed, Hough, Rhoades/Rhodes, Sechrist/Secrest, Cook and many others. If anyone has ties to my families, please contact me and perhaps we can exchange information.

I've added those tidbits to the memorials, on the siblings and Williams potential burial location.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

I believe your edit has been processed. Please let me know if it is not correct and I will be happy to make any corrections you may have for Benjamin. Have a blessed evening.
|JNicholson||RE: Howard Murray|
Guess Howard Murray was a common name. My Grandfather died in 1990 in Blairsville, Indiana County. Who knows, they could all be tied ... it wouldn't surprise me.
|JNicholson||RE: Nicholson and Murray surnames|
Hi there Bonisue,
My GG Grandfather was Benjamin (Civil War) Nicholson and on my Murray side, my Grandfather was Howard Murray from Latrobe.
I knew you hailed from the Nicholson/Nichelson side (Ben's brother?), but now the Murrays too! We might be 'doubly' related! :)
Blessings to you this New Year, cousin!
|Peter McLaughlin||The Freeds|
Hi Boniesue :)
Very interesting. It's a pleasure to meet you cousin. I have not been able to do much research on the Freed's. Most of what I have added to find a grave was borrowed from the work of others. It would the wonderful to find and verify the said graves!
I come down from Mary Elizabeth Freed who married Reverend Joseph Zumbro. Their daughter Barbara Zumbro married a man named Henry Wagoner. Henry died in Pennsylvania, I suspect in Westmoreland County, in 1844 or 1845. I have been trying to find more about Henry Wagoner and his family, but I haven't been able to find anything. I haven't been able to connect him to his parents. When Henry Wagoner died, Barbara Zumbro Wagoner with her children, moved from Pennsylvania to Morgan County, Ohio with her brothers family.
Henry and Barbara (Zumbro) had a daughter named Mary Wagoner. Mary Wagoner was the second wife of John Leonard Blind and they lived on Blind Road (Windsor Township 37) in Dale Village, on the line of Washington and Morgan Counties, Ohio.
I am the great-great-grandson of their son Henry B. Blind.
It has been so long since I have researched this family. I would love to find out more about Henry Wagoner. I need to go back through this line to refresh my memory :)
Thanks for the extra info. It would be wonderful to verify the said grave sites on your ancestors property, or any other information about them.

Sorry!! No further information on Sarah other than her middle name started with a C.
|Stephen Bernas||RE: Bernas-Szwed grave|
I didn't realize you were related. Don't worry aout transferring it them. I uploaded the Bernas family portrait that I have that shows her and the rest of her family along with a description of who is who. I also edited her Birth and Death dates and added links to her parents.
I was wondering if you could transfer memorial 61134733 to me (49027263). She is my 2nd great aunt.
