I was looking over the old emails and noticed you mentioned Darwin Keeling. I've never heard of him before. How is he related?
|Donnie Gross Jr||Woodrow Keeling|
I have personally been to the gravestone for Woodrow Keeling at Twin Pines Cemetery in Pana, IL, and have pictures of it. Is it possible that his name is on tombstones at two different cemeteries?
|Donnie Gross Jr||RE: Same person|
Thanks, Holly. I've updated the earlier memorial and deleted the extra one.

Thank you I appreciate it.
|Diane||RE: ISAAC SAOPES & NANCY|
Hi Holly. I descend from Isaac Soapes and his 1st wife Nancy Cooper. Nancy died about 1851/1852 and Isaac then remarried to Mrs. Nancy Hill. I have a copy of their marriage record from Montgomery co., IL. I have that Nancy Hill was first married to Basil Hill (I think her maiden name was Hess), then 2nd she married Isaac Soapes, and 3rd marriage to John Robinson in 1872 in Shelby County. John and Nancy Robinson lived in Shelby Co. at Tower Hill in 1880. I believe he is the John Robinson buried at Tower Hill Cem. & he died 1888. I don't know what happened to Nancy, or if she outlived John. I would think there would be estate records for John in Shelby County which might help you. I don't know when Nancy died or is buried. If you find out, could you please let me know? Glad to hear from you!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I checked my records (outside of Find-A-Grave) and found no Robert G Keeling, so I believe you were correct.

You're very welcome, Holly. Wow, great grandparents .... those are special ones. Glad I could help out.
Thank you very much for going to the cemetery yesterday in Taylorville area and took the digital of Emily Fred's headstone. I live in Florida and rarely get up in that area anymore with my health issues. It is very much appreciated that you did this for me! Linda Butterfield
