Thanks, your rules are certainly appropriate. This is for my new grandson in law who I want to have the opportunity to know how brave his ancestors were. My grand daughter chose well, his tree is so close to ours that it isn't even funny. In fact in one instance his 6th great grandfather is my 4th great grandfather.

Aka William Jasper Jackson, my great, great grandfather. His son, William Abraham Jackson, my great grandfather. His son, Jesse Archa Jackson, my grandfather. Weve been looking for Jasper's burial place. The rest of our family is buried in Antoine and Delight. Jesse Archa moved to Tx in the 1920's and here we be. My understanding is William Jasper went be with his daughter, Cynthia, when two of of her kids died of the chicken pox. He contracted chicken pox and died some weeks later. His last will and testament can be found online.

I was wondering if I could have permission to use your photos for this entry as well as others you may have of my family. I do not plan on publishing these - just to make a family history. I will give you credit for all photos I collect.
|Gregory Dublar||Aldridge Jackson|
It saddens me to inform you that his stone is wearing away. His first name is gone and Jackson is getting hard to read. Its not breaking off, seems to be wearing off from rain. The edges are not sharp but rounded. Fortunately, I could make out the last name and the dates are ok. I took the picture and got home. I found the Jacksons and compared the dates. Saw who it was and read his bio and seen the pictures as it looked before. At present his stone is the oldest born person I have found. I'm sure their are older, but time has eroded away who they were, some have just rocks as markers and some have nothing. Rockport's history goes back a long way. You, as descendants, I felt should know.
|Colin Woodward||James Wesley Cash|
Do you know if James Wesley Cash was in the 1st Arkansas Cavalry (Crawford's)?
|kathy martin||Aldridge Jackson|
I saw on Find-a-Grave.com that Aldridge was your 4th Great Grandfather. He was also my husbands 4th Great Grandfather!
His Grandmother was Florence Jackson. Her father was John Wesley Jackson. His father was Josiah Jackson. His father was Aldridge Jackson.
Sounds like you two are related.

I wonder if there is any way you might be able to confirm the date of death for Cpt John Givens? The dated is listed as 1790 but the sort of looks on the headstone looks later than that. I know dates can be off but the this looks like years off. Most records show him dying in November of 1790 but this looks like he was born in November and died in April. Anyway, any clarification you can provide would be appreciated.

Thank you for answering my questions. It was greatly appreciated.
Have a nice Sunday,
|Richard Parker||RE: Fort Defiance Cemetery|
Thanks for answering my request about the cemetery. The e-mail I received stated that my relative, Harry Beathe, was buried in the wrong cemetery and there was no Fort Defiance Cemetery and I should moved him to the Augusta Stone Presbyterian Church Cemetery. It seem this person believes that the Fort Defiance Cemetery is part of the church cemertery.
My question is: Is Fort Defiance consider part of the Church cemetery or is it consider as a seperate cemetery? Just need to know which cemetery Harry should be listed in.
Thank you for your time and trouble,
|Richard Parker||Fort Defiance Cemetery|
I have a family member buried in Fort Defiance Cemetery. Today, I received an e-mail stateing that there is no Fort Defiance Cemetery but it is called the Augusta Stone Presbterian Church Cemetery. Since you took the photo of the cemetery, I'm assuming you will the truth. I not want to transfer the family member unil I know the truth. Is these two cemetery the same are they two different cemeteries?
Than you for your time and trouble,
