|I have been doing genealogy work for a couple of decades now. I enjoy research and am grateful to the folks at Find A Grave for hosting this forum. I have learned wonderful things about many people that have passed onto another place.|
My interest in genealogy was peeked when I decided to see if I could become a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). I was only going to see if I could join and then hang up my hat. Well, that didn't happen and I have been a member of DAR for twenty years now and have enjoyed every moment.
Now that I have a new digital camera; actually my first digital camera; I can now start to contribute to this site. Recently with my joining FAG I have peeked my family's curiosity and they too are searching the site and are happy to see our relatives gravemarkers

Sheryl, I am very distantly related to Charles. His great-grandfather, Solomon Hanna (through his grandfather's 2nd wife, Dora Hanna Rose) is a younger brother to my great great-grandfather, Simon Bolivar Hanna, Sr. Are you, or another family member, researching the family? MarGene

There is what looks like a dog tag for "Fawn" attached to the marker, sweet!

Thank You for creating a memorial for and photographing the grave of Lyman S. Wheeler in The Hope Cemetery, San Diego. His name appears on a monument honoring Civil War Veterans in his native South Royalston, Massachusetts. The memorial created from that cenotaph is # 135951383. I hope you don't mind that I added the photograph of him from the memorial you created. I can remove it if you wish. I have also created a link between the two. Thanks! Jim

Thanks so much for photographing Cora Brown's grave.

You're very welcome.

Sheryl, you're very welcome. It's a very pretty cemetery and the graves were close by the driveway. I didn't do any cleaning, I took one earlier and it was good but not really clear. On the way out, we passed the stone again and sun's angle made things stand out better. So, I took another set of pics. I didn't know anything about the ancestry..it was already on the memorial page when I posted. I didn't notice any writing at the bottom of her stone but I'll look closet at the pic. We don't live in the Saratoga Springs so it was just a place I wanted to check out (Race track very close by). If I can't read anything from the stone, perhaps the next time thru the area I'll check it out. Hope this helps. Pat

Thank you for your efforts. This is the second attempt at finding his grave, and evidently the records are a mess, so you don't have to spend any more time on this for me. Your work is much appreciated.

Dear Sheryl. . thanks for the photo of the headstone. I am helping a cousin with her family tree and this is a great addition to our research.
